thade
..........Did you have any reason for posting this? Remember we do get alot of HQs to up our armies leadership hoss. Not sure I get it either. Space Wolves are Space Marines, so they all have Leadership 8; typically 9 if you stick a WG in there with each troop unit. And you get 2-4 HQs that can also band with your units, bringing the modal Leadership value up to 10. Space Wolves are doing alright by that standard. muzzyman1981
I think it may be looking at armies like Necrons with everything at Ld 10 and the like. Honestly in my last long time of gaming I've only failed a Ld roll once and that was cause I didn't put a WG or HQ with the Grey Hunters AND even had I it would have failed cause I rolled boxcars. Space Marines are awesome, yeah we have Ld 8 on our basic troops but we also have ATSKNF so even if they do break they will regroup immediately AND will never be over-ran and killed without a fight. I say....BRING IT ON!!! =0D ***Insert looooooooooooooooong wolf howl here*** Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183650-leadership-and-2d6/#findComment-2171483 Share on other sites

rodgers37
Pretty much same as the Marine codex isn't it? so you can't really moan....plus all the L8 things can be joined by a 18 piont wolf guard to make them L9...... muzzyman1981
Some people will try to find anything to whine about me thinks. Don't mention the fact we get things like Arjac and Canis, it's all about what people perceive to be "bad" when actually there are WAAAY many more "good" things to use and have fun with. VorpalDoom
Having Ld issues? Take Wolf Priests. that's 4 fearless units. Having Ld issues? Take a model with Saga of the Majesty (we can take 4, 3 dreads, 1 hq). Space wolves are better off than their vanilla brethren in regards to leadership tests. Sorry. But I think thats completely crap. BT deal with Ld 8 and NO ways of improving it other than 2 HQ choices in the entire army. We atleast can buy seargents for our squads, and have up to 4 HQ choices to use on it. Note- C:SM marines are LD 8 too. So are C: BA and DA in their tac squads and other non-vets. You get counterattack for goodness sakes. Theres no reason to complain about it. thade
I mean, were the Space Wolves any better at saving in previous codices? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183650-leadership-and-2d6/#findComment-2171919 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Not in 3rd edition! For nearly a decade LD 8 unless you got a Wolf Gaurd or an HQ in there.
