and a guardsman conversion

now looking around youll see everything from tau to brettonians to people using other companies at AT-34 and pig iron.

have a look, see what you like :P

I use Arbites as my preferance is shotguns over hellguns. The FW upgrade packs are great for this purpose. I also have a new squad sitting around with bits from the new Cadian command box, with Catachan rucksacks, but theyre not painted. As for =][= symbols, FW brass etched is the best.

escher gangers from necromunda are you best bet.

Thanks. I was thinking about more classic soldier-like models, but those gangsters are also not bad, with a decent painting and maybe little conversion....

Realistically it shouldn't matter. Under a thick carapace and wearing a closed mask, nobody can identify gender anyway. We had that problem with Samus Aran ...

Yeah, but since when Wh40k is realistic? :o

So about those Escher Gangers, is it possible for Adepta Sororitas to recruit new Sisters from different planets or all of them are from Schola Progenium?

Schola Progenium isn't a planet, its a kind of institution for the orphans of imperial servants. I would imagine yes, that they could be draw from anywhere.

40K went slightly more realistic (In a stylistic sense) at the start of the 3rd edition, especially if you look at the cadians and storm troopers that came out around that time and the way things were painted.

I know what Schola Progenium is, I was just asking if all Sisters come from there?

Generally, yes. It is an orphanage. Usually the orphans parents' were ranking members of the Imperium's military or distinguished themselves in battle. The schola evaluate their wards for which service they would best fit into - stormtrooper, navy, sororitas, commissar.

For a good idea what happens at the schola, read any of the Ciaphas Cain books (especially the last one where he is an instructor). You will get a very good idea what the schola is all about (even if it is from Cain's own perspective and that of the Inquisitor Amberley).

To add to and qualify what Remiel said-

It doesn't necessarily bar Sisters from picking up and establishing institutions for orphaned girls on their own, or the Ministorum establishing local public schools of which some of the children choose to pursue a career in the Imperial Guard, Administratum or the Adepta Sororitas after graduation. These girls drawn from the ordinary population would make up the minority, however, except perhaps at smaller outposts or on backwater worlds, places where stationed Sisters would have less direct contact with larger affairs of the Orders.

not a brilliant picture but here goes.

He's got chainmail on his torso and upper arms, the boots are meant to be fur and he has a hat and scarf. I know my sculpting is poor and its a bad photo but its a first go and more about the idea, I'll post another picture when its painted.

My first photo post aswell.
