Currently working on putting together a small warband (two Chaos marine squads, a Lord and a squad of Raptors) and since I've not (yet!) bought the Codex I was just wondering if you can still arm your marines with bolt pistols and chainswords rather than bolters and if so can you mix and match in squads or do they have to be armed in the same way throughout the squad? I would ideally like my squads mixed (for fluffy-ness) but if thats not possible I'll settle for one squad of each! Cheers guys! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's even mandatory to mix to show that your men have all these weapons: putting all this equipment on each CSM to be truly WYSIWYG is nearly impossible. My warband is going to be made up from the rebel Chapters from the Badab war. My Astral Claws (not Red Corsairs!) and Mantis Legion/Warrios will be armed with Bolters, the Lamenters and the Executors will be armed for close combat. Cheers for that guys... back to the glueing!
