Word of the Emperor

The emperors chosen

Ah, only problem is it is cast in the opponent's assault phase, meaning you're going to have to do something wacky or have your assassin out in front of your squad by 13" to NOT be leadership 7 for the psychic test. Makes it a bit less reliable to cast.

Mind you, it's still a cool power. It's basically the Inquisitor going 'f$%k off' ;) .

Try using a Psyker Battle squad with it (by allying him into an IG army). They 'Weaken Resolve', he tells that enemy assault squad to please be quiet and go away, you don't get charged.

Thing is, it doesn't change the fact the retinue has the staying power of wet tissue paper. I'd still use a firebase Lord if he managed to live through any of my games...sigh.

1) Yes, yes it is.

2) Warriors (the mainstay of the firebase) have a 4+, and you can give acolytes a 2+ if you feel the need. Makes the unit a bit tougher to crack.
