Hfran Morkai
Finally totalled up the cost for eleven of the Wolf Lords (Because my successor of Egil Ironwolf will be off leading his personal company) and it's come to 2136 points total for the unit, it's not meant to be particularly cost effective, more fun to use in the odd game. However I can't think what Saga to give Morkai as he can't take the saga of the hunter. Grimnar 275 Blackmane 240 Morkai 155 Plasma Pistol Power Weapon Belt of Russ Bran Redmaw 200 Twin Wolf Claws Belt of Russ Saga of the Warrior Born Krom Dragongaze 200 TDA Twin Wolf Claws Belt of Russ Saga of Majesty Sven Bloodhowl 195 Thunder Hammer Storm Shield Saga of the Warrior Born Engir Krakendoom 160 Twin Powerfists Belt of Russ Saga of the Beastslayer Gunnar Red Moon 175 Thunder Hammer Combi-melta Belt of Russ Saga of the Beastslayer Harald Deathwolf 165 Frost Blade Belt of Russ Saga of the Wolfkin Bjorn Stormwolf 200 TDA Power Weapon Storm Bolter Belt of Russ Saga of the Bear Kjarl Grimblood 171 Frost Blade Flamer Belt of Russ Saga of Majesty Hehehe So to break it down into attacks: Standard round of combat 9 Power Weapon Attacks 10 Wolf Claw Attacks 14 Frost Blade Attacks 5 Powerfist Attacks 8 Thunder Hammer Attacks 5 Frost Blade/Powerfist Attacks So a total of 51 attacks with various affects and strengths. And of course Ragnar makes the squad much scarier on the attack. Biggest bullet magnet ever, however to make it seem even more like I imagine: Ulrik, Njal and Arjac should be attached. I was also thinking each Lord brings two "Champions" from their company, so Morkai would bring two tooled up Scouts, Red Moon Long Fangs, Ragnar two Blood Claws (who happened to excel) and the rest would bring two Wolf Guard with say Grimblood's wielding flamers. I'm crazy, aren't I? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184019-the-jaws-of-russ/ Share on other sites
Wolf Guard Dan
Yes, you are crazy. :P For fun I will tell you how I imagine these heroes to be equipped. My replies are underlined. Grimnar 275 Blackmane 240 Morkai 155 Plasma Pistol Power Weapon Belt of Russ I would give him a Frost Blade or something, what wolf lord runs around with just a Power Weapon nowadays? I do not know about his saga either, Saga of Hunter fits but is not allowed. Give him runic armor, his twin bro is a Rune Priest and probably would upgrade that power armor for him Bran Redmaw 200 Twin Wolf Claws Belt of Russ Saga of the Warrior Born In 3ed codex a pic of him is in TDA(maybe not) with and axe and SB. The same picture is on page 13, lower righ corner of 5ed codex. Krom Dragongaze 200 TDA Twin Wolf Claws Belt of Russ Saga of Majesty I would give him a combi-plasma. That weapon would fit well with "Dragongaze" aspect. IDK about what combat weapon he would use. Sven Bloodhowl 195 Thunder Hammer Storm Shield Saga of the Warrior Born Give him a combi-flamer, idk about other weapon Engir Krakendoom 160 Twin Powerfists Belt of Russ Saga of the Beastslayer Give him a frost weapon or thunder hammer in addition to a storm shield. Saga is right on. Gunnar Red Moon 175 Thunder Hammer Combi-melta Belt of Russ Saga of the Beastslayer Yah, idk about him. Your guess is as good as mine Harald Deathwolf 165 Frost Blade Belt of Russ Saga of the Wolfkin spot on. but mount him on a thunderwolf Bjorn Stormwolf 200 TDA Power Weapon Storm Bolter Belt of Russ Saga of the Bear Upgrade that power weapon to a chain fist or thunder hammer, something that makes a ton of noise Kjarl Grimblood 171 Frost Blade Flamer Belt of Russ Saga of Majesty Frost blade seems weird for someone who is a fire aspect, but still legit. Hehehe So to break it down into attacks: Standard round of combat I'm crazy, aren't I? And Egil, I imagine, would be equipped with TDA, TH, Saga of Iron Wolf (if it was allowed), and storm shield or something, idk getting lazy. Good times. Hfran Morkai
Engir Krakendoom 160Twin Powerfists Belt of Russ Saga of the Beastslayer Do I detect a badass repping the dual fists? Yes, all Space Wolves are pretty badass but apparently he killed some giant sea creature and I thought it fitting for saga of the beastslayer, then thought powerfists for mauling monstrous creatures (with re-rolls to wound!) and just liked the idea of two fists. Of course if I put Ulrik in said squad they all re-roll against T5 and higher but I wanted fluffy (read expensive) Now to work on the champions... He's getting old and going deaf . . . lol :) Well that's the wonderful thing about it, they've been careful about putting too much about equipment in the little bits of fluff throughout the dex so you can interpret most of it, like I've done, now to get onto collecting Rags and Logan and painting the blighters. Need a flamer too... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184019-the-jaws-of-russ/#findComment-2176015 Share on other sites
