pauljamesog
G'day Guys, I've been playing about the Ron's great 'quick Deathwing' technique and have been pleased with the initial results:: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/pauljamesog/WIP/DW_Sq1_complete.jpg However, I want to make them more gritty: a real 'just Home from the Hulk" look I'd like to add some blood splatter effcets (but not too over-the-top) and also some scorching on the Heavy Flamer. The effect I'm after there is the sort of singing you would exepct would happen on the Flamer marine's armour from using his weapon in close promixity. I aso need to redo the claw scratches and damage, it doesnt look right at all- just a big silver patch. All suggestions most welcome ;) thanks! pauljamesog
Oops! Mods, pls move this topic - thanks! Thanks for the link Cathar. I have done that sort of effect on the Heavy Flamer barrel, but want to do a greater oprion of the model - ie scorching on the right leg/arm/side of body to show the impact of cotniued exposure to firing the weapon. Almost a sooty OGL effect I guess. Blood Splatter wise, I also found a GW tutorial. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/...009&start=1 but its a bit over the top for the effect I want Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184069-painting-heavy-flamer-burns-and-blood-splatter/#findComment-2176839 Share on other sites
pauljamesog
The resin bases have come along well and added a lot to the models. I think the blood splatter effects are OK too. Terminator Pic Now to find a descent way to simulate armour chips and dents. cheers Paul The Man Cave Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184069-painting-heavy-flamer-burns-and-blood-splatter/#findComment-2179549 Share on other sites
