'Aggressor' pattern Siege Rhino

Hey everyone, sorry been very busy but i've found time to start a new project: The Aggressor pattern Siege Rhino.

The idea behind it is a widened Rhino chasis with a capacity for 12 SM and a front-mounted razorback turret.

Specifically developed by the techmarines of the Knights Scorpio 4th Company during the Siege of the Kalamis Citidel. With a lack of Land Raiders, and with the company's Razorbacks too lightly armoured to cope with the confined and lethal crossfires, the techmarines built the Aggressor Pattern Rhino using parts from wrecked rhinos, razorbacks and vindicators.

I haven't worked out rules and such yet but I would love to hear what you guys think of it good or bad!

Be nice, it's my first time using plasticard!

whoa, that's pretty awesome.

My only complaint after reading your thread is the very small arc of fire that the assault cannons have because of the siege shield. Weapon systems such as the demolisher cannon, and hull mounted heavy bolter on the vindi and LR have an arc of 45 degrees. The cannons look like they may have even less here/ Measuring from the guns mount, along it's barrel it's very narrow. I would consider moving the seige shield closer to the rhino hull and maybe putting it at an angle.

Model wise it's great, I admire the work you put into the chassis and in fitting all those parts together. I just think, practically speaking, it's limiting itself for the reasons i mentioned.

I really like the model and the idea of it. I'm forever wishing there was something to get my BT brothers into battle a little safer, with a bit more fire power and a slightly larger capacity without having to indulge in an LRC.

I would copyright it quickly!!!

Rules wise it just looks like vindicator armour, slightly more transport capcity than a normal rhino, and an assault cannon hull mounted, so like a razorcator or vindiback, but conversion wise, the land raider pats and rhino tracks go together surprisingl well

Knock knock, Siege Works Pizza. Stellar job on your conversion sir. I would go for the extra armor rule as a standard. The cannons will obviously be able to keep most adversaries from getting too curious and forcing them to keep thier heads down. While I do agree with Dan on the possibility of a limited firing arc being a downfall of the design, I think as long as you only deploy it where your opponent can only face it head-on you should be okay. Plus it looks sweet, consider it stolen.

Thanks guys, will begin paintwork at the weekend!

The fire arc is daft i know but as it is a field conversion i will use that to explain it's crapness lol

Rules atm:

Aggressor Pattern Rhino - 145pts

Armour Front- 13, 12, 10

Transport Capacity - 12 (no Jumppacks, or terminators)

Fire points - 3

Armed with Twin-linked AC and Storm Bolter

Siege shield, SL, SMK Launchers, Extra Armour

May replace the AC with one of the following:TL, Heavy Bolter - 10pts, TL Multi Melta or Heavy flamer for free, TL Lascannon +30pts

Needs playtesting though

hey angels blade, nice transport. As for the rules, i would probably do the heavy bolter and heavy flamer for free, and the twinlinked multimelta for 10 points. Reason is because a twin linked multimelta is pretty devestating since it pretty much always hits. If it was a single multimelta i could see that for free. Also the heavy bolters are about on the same lvl as twin linked assault cannons.

Other than that..it might be an expensive transport but man it will surely get the marines to there destination.

I could definitenly see this as a valid transport option for almost all marines, as a way to bridge the gap between the abundant rhino and the expensive land raider. I even see this as a better transport option than the old razorback.

Now slap some paint on it already.

When I first saw this i was reminded of the APC from Aliens. Granted the assault cannon is on the wrong side, and the Aliens APC doesn't have the shield... but still, very cool.

While I personally prefer the old style rhinos, I might have to steal this idea for the personal ride of my Battle Leader or Wolf Priest (whichever i end up going with).

Nice and well executed conversion.

My only complaint is the top hatches. Their hinges are cross driving direction and will fall on top of the gunners head if the storm bolter is used.

No techmarine would build it like that.

very nice conversion! out of interest how much wider is your vehicle over a standard Rhino? and have you thought about removing the dozer blade as i feel it would look better without it but this isnt a criticism, anyways you did a great job 10/10.

Thanks everyone, I'm itching to get this painted but the weather won't let me spray it!

The main hull between the tracks is 53mm i think a standard rhino is about 38mm

Working a few extra turrets to go on it now!
