nexus night
hello everyone, As my S.O.B army is drawing to a close ive been thinking about heading for space wolves next (gotta love the new models!). Anyway i was wondering if the wolf guard are similar to sternguard (rules whys). Just wondering because the sternguard models are awesome but i would way prefer to go a 'characterful' sm army and seeing that sw are just pure awesome Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184319-a-question-on-wolf-guard/ Share on other sites
AdeptusDavidus
They're very much unlike Sternguard. They're basically generic veteran marines that you equip as you see fit, then can assign to some of your squads to act as squad leaders, or you can run them around as an elite squad all their own. thade
The older wolves might knock me around for saying so <3 but they are more akin to "super" Vanguard. They're very easily melee-oriented (each of them can be given power weapons, including storm shields. The differences are beautiful: some (or all) members can be put into Terminator armor, models can be given bolters, storm bolters, or combi-weapons, the Termies can be given heavy weapons (so you can have one terminator among them with a CML if you wish)...and any of them can be split off and attached to one of you other squads as a sergeant.
