jeremy1391
So I was thinking... The symbol of the great wolf is always the same.... A lot of the components from the space wolves box look as though they are pre or just post heresy.. So why not paint them up in a heresy era scheme and use bjorn the fellhanded in pre dreadnought form to lead them if I am playing a heresy era game. And use grimnar in current 40k games...... Just a thought. Here is my idea of bjorns wolf lord stats Wolf lord Runic armor Belt of russ Saga of the bear Wolf tooth necklace Plasma pistol Wolf claw of russ Ws7 bs6 st5 t5 w4 in5 ldr10 sv2/4 Special rules Wolf claw of russ: this weapon is a sacred relic given to bjorn before the primarch left for the eye . It grants bjorn d3 extra attacks per turn. It also grants bjorn and any squad he joins furious charge. Inspiring presence. Once per game bjorn the fell handed grants all friendly models within 18" +1A and makes them fearless until the end of the next player turn. Great wolf: allows wolfguard to be used as troops. Dark Bjoern
There´s no need to post this topic 6 times, Brother. Give your fellow Wolfs time to relpy. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184352-an-epiphany/#findComment-2178984 Share on other sites
Brother Remus
Personally, it just looks like too much of a mix of Ragnar and Grimnar. Theres not really anything that defines what Bjorn as a character. The weapons yeah, since its what he used before he was put into his dread, but then theres the stats, WS 7? Whats wrong with 6? And a 2+ to hit with a plasma pistol is good enough already it doesn't need to be BS 6. And as strong and tough as Bjorn probably was, T5, S5? I'd say T4, maybe come up with a reason for the S5 Wolf Claw. Defantly don't do the duplicated of Ragnars rules, come up with something else. Grimfoe
I think it's a great idea, but I'd avoid any custom rules. Field him either as Logan or Ragnar. That way it's tournament legal and you can use him against anyone you'd like. thade
Field him either as Logan or Ragnar. That way it's tournament legal and you can use him against anyone you'd like. ^ That. Also, you really want Bjorn the Fell-handed to have Eternal Warrior. Also, you really want Bjorn the Fell-handed to have Eternal Warrior. Thats why he gave him Saga of the Bear. :P. As for custom-rules, if your doing a heresy era game that usually comes into effect anyways. Might I reccommend using the Tempus Fugitives campaign stats for him? Theyre well costed, and fairly impressive. Otherwise, Id say that minus the custom rules above youve got a decent setup for him. Ullr Direfang
I think it's a great idea, but I'd avoid any custom rules. he could use it in an apoc game if his opponent agrees. Indeed, he could use it in his local gaming group if they all agree too... *shrugs*. But in that case, were not the ones to be asking lol. jeremy1391
he is supposed to be more in line with grimnar then ragnar.... but now hat i think of it he needs to be bjorn not ragnar or grimnar. so let me revise..... Wolf lord Bjorn Fellhanded 250 points Runic armor Belt of russ Saga of the Majesty Wolf tooth necklace Plasma pistol Wolf claw of russ Ws6 bs5 st4 t4 w4 in5 ldr10 a4 sv2/4 special rules. Wolf claw of russ. A wolf claw said to have been given to bjorn by leman russ himself, it is of the finest craftsmanship of any wolfclaw in the space wolves chapter. grants bjorn preferred enemy special rule. Eternal Warrior: The fates have mighty plans for Bjorn the fellhanded, blows that would lay low a tank Bjorn has been seen withstand and continue on Brilliant tactician: As the first wolf lord following in the primarchs footsteps Bjorn may reroll the dice to see who picks deployment zone The Great wolf: may take wolfguard as troops Venerable what? : The heresy has just ended. No dreadnought is old enough to be venerable. (venerable dreadnoughts may not be taken in an army including Bjorn) I feel this better represents bjorn as the great wolf.... what do you think?
