Joining ongoing assault

This is a question about the assault bonus (+1A) when assaulting.

Scenario: One group of ork boyz and two units of space marines, tactical and scout for instance.

Ork turn: The orks boyz assault the scout squad and gets the +1A from the assault bonus (and the +1S and +1I from furious charge). They fight off as normal and both groups are still locked in combat when the turn goes over to the Space Marine player.

SM turn: The Tactical squad move forward and assaults the orks that are locked in combat with the scouts.

So here is the question, do the Tactical squad get the +1A for assaulting? Do you always get +1A for assaulting no matter what? If so does an ork player also get the furious charge bonus if he assault a unit still locked in combat?

Thanks in advance, MygL

Thank you Seahawk and Frosty the Pyro. Me and my brother was a bit confused. I had in my mind some kind of wierd idea that you couldn't get a bonus if you join a assault. Only if you assault a unengaged unit.

Thank you again for clearing that up.
