Rob_Loken
Hi there, so I've been working on this guy (some of you may have seen him over in the WIP). He is now "finished", in as much as I can't see anything else to do to him, yet. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae63/Astartes_Loken/Modelling%20Log/PICT1493.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae63/Astartes_Loken/Modelling%20Log/PICT1494.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae63/Astartes_Loken/Modelling%20Log/PICT1495.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae63/Astartes_Loken/Modelling%20Log/PICT1496.jpg C&C welcome. lewiss111
like the tone of yellow, it looks much more believable as tone on an armour(compared to florescent) nice work  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184380-completed-if-captain/#findComment-2179099 Share on other sites
Brother 'Ussell
Very nice, great highlighting and blending. Only crit is my eye is drawn to the flash line across the back of the storm bolter in picture 2 . Shaun Carlin
Most Excellant I knew It was only a matter of time before we seen kantor In Imperial fist colours, Top job on the painting too, the only critque is I'm not a fan of the plastic studded shoulder pad on character models but thats only a personal thing really and doesnt matter a jot if you are happy enough with it, Great work and Keep em comming Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184380-completed-if-captain/#findComment-2179178 Share on other sites
Rob_Loken
:P Cheers for the replies everyone. Damn moldlines, you think you get 'em all. But one or two always creep through. Shaun Carlin @ I get what you're saying about the studded shoulder pad, and I myself keep wondering if another one might look better. Something to think about for sure. Melchiah @ The secret is a lot of patience. I started from a white undercoat, then a base coat of Golden Yellow. Once I'd built up a solid yellow coat I washed the recesses with Gryphonne Sepia. I the added progressively more Skull White to the Golden Yellow to build up highlights. It takes a long time but I'm pleased with the results. I am Legion
Very awesome modeling, and a great paint job to boot. Where did you get that power fist though? Rob_Loken
The Powerfist is part of the main Kantor cast. The only plastic bitz are the left shoulder pad, the left arm with the storm bolter and the head.
