Two Dreadnoughts with Plasma Cannons?

Dreadnoughts can be the way to get 12 plasma cannons in a lash list. Each dread near one another, chances are two may fire while the third does nothing and of course you can add missile launchers for frag shots or keep a melee weapon for the additional melee deterrent.

PC are fun, dreadnoughts are not easy to hit when you roll a scatter result. A way around having to spend 140 points on 5 noise marines with a blastmaster.

I run zilla lists though with 2DCCW dreads, and do damn good with them. The dreads often get what they go after because everything else gets shot at.

However there was a debate that the run rule and "Rule Trigger System" (one rule triggers another or several, and they then trigger more rules to 'happen' in a sequence and whatever happens in that sequence that is derailed/changed in each section changes the order which can clarify RAW, similar in Magic the Gathering which is where it was derived from)

1: Rolled the dreadnought result of a fire frenzy.

2: Beginning of the movement phase is turns and fires before everything else.

(chance trigger when a model's turn to fire, see page 15 on shooting sequence, "pick one of your units", meaning your dreadnought is 'selected' and is viable to be forced to run)

3: You pick to run instead, but you cannot move because the dreadnought cannot fire, and thus changes back to a frenzy result because it cannot fire but during the shooting phase so no 'movement' is made but the fleet is carried out as normal because it is the shooting phase and the previous fire frenzy derailed itself by saying it is now a blood rage result instead.

People argue over that all the time, and is invalid because of the trigger system not being as solid as RAW.

Yeah, choosing to run is basicly saying "I'm choosing to ignor the gone crazy rule, b/c I don't like the result". "Choosing" to run is right up there with "choosing" to shoot smk.

How/what a crazy dread targets is the only thing in debate here, not whether you can ignor the gone crazy table altogether.

I have not called GW on the "run" rule for fire frenzy but for all you cheesie guys out there I called a few days ago about choosing to fire my smoke launchers, the person I spoke on the phone with said that was a legal action,I then had him repeat that while on speaker phone so everyone at my local gaming store could hear it.
