jmteeter
Ok, first time posting on this Forum. First Army I've worked with, I LOVE the wolves!!!! Anyways here's my list: HQ Ragnar Blackmane. Elites Dreadnought, Heavy Flamer instead of Stormbolter, Twin-Linked Heavy Flamer, Extra Armor, Wolftooth Necklace, Drop Pod. Dreadnought, Twin-Linked Autocannon, Extra Armor, Wolftooth Necklace, Drop Pod. Wolf Guard x9 (Ragnar Attached) 2 Thunder Hammers, 2 Storm Shields (2 models with one Hammer and Shield each), 4 Wolf Claws (2 Models with 2 Claws each), 5 Stormbolters, (Land Raider as Dedicated Transport). Troops Grey Hunter Pack x10 Flamer, Melta Gun, Power Weapon, Rhino (Additional Stormbolter and Extra Armor). Grey Hunter Pack x10 Flamer, Plasma Gun, Power Weapon, Rhino (Additional Stormbolter and Extra Armor). Blood Claw Pack x10 Flamer, Melta Gun, Power Weapon, Lukas the Trickster, Drop Pod. This brings me to 1987 points-wise. I'm not sure on the type of Land Raider like I said up top. And I'm not sure of the Dreadnought Load outs. My basic tactic is to drop the dreadnoughts in front of the enemy, burn down any infantry as the vehicles are coming up and drop the pod with the Bloodclaws near the nastiest thing I can find and let slip Lukas. My friends run Imperial Guard, Tau, Eldar and Dark Eldar at the moment. Lemme know what you guys think. slmellon
3 things: Dont forget that we cant assault from a Drop pod (and BCs cant even shoot if within assault range)(sucks I know, keeps happening to me) Hope you get first turn against shooty armies because having to foot slog out of a LRC across the board sucks Use your troops well, seeing as 2/3s of missions require holding/capturing objs hope this helps Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184474-2000pt-list/#findComment-2180161 Share on other sites
jmteeter
Since the Land Raider is dedicated transport I wont need to foot slog, that's why i did it that way. I can beat feet to the Enemy and drop the Wolf Guard and Ragnar in to the thick of it. Hopefully by the time the Blood Claw Drop Pod deploys I can sacrifice their Shooting since the opponent will have all my army in the transports at their throat (or very close to it). I do keep forgetting about objectives though. Any thoughts on what I can do? Grogugluk
I think you should see if you could find the points for another Grey Hunters squad. I'm not sure how blood claws will do in a drop pod as well. If I was your opponent I would just run away from them and shoot them up. Fully Mech does seem like fun though. That Land Raider Squad is going to wreck whatever they hit. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184474-2000pt-list/#findComment-2180493 Share on other sites
smurf-o-wolve
have you thought about this as wolf guard unit? Wolfguard - Pack - Arjac Rockfist 1 Wolfguard - 1 x Mark of the Wulfen 3 TDA Wolfguard - 3 x Stormbolter - 2 x Powerweapon - 1 x Stormshield - - - > 335 Points It is 2 points cheaper and with arjac you get a real Monster in that Land Raider. btw. for 30 points you can add a AC or better an CML Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184474-2000pt-list/#findComment-2180520 Share on other sites
