Worst "Counts as Space Wolves" out there

Got one for you brothers! Know a guy that custom built an entire 2000pt army of midget marines, using the old school tanks so that everything was the right "size" to fit the army, you don't want to know who they are, but they are tourney legal as they are completely made out of GW parts. Also, hey as long as you are not using gaunts as Bloodclaws and pathfinders as Greyhunters your okay with me. I have seen people paint their army purple and call them smurfs but oh well. I myself do not use codex grey and yellow on my Wolves and I have been playing them for about 4-5yrs steady. I prefer SW grey,Fen Foundation, and Ice blue. So whatever your flavor is thats fine.
All this thread has accomplished so far is to say Ultragreens, Blackscars, and Wolfwing are bad because we don't want to share our new toys with the class. But if you play Angels of Vengeance and ran out of decals half way through your army then you're a cool kid and can hang with us.

Doesn't that sound silly?

It is a shame that you ended such a lucid post with playground insults.

It left me with the impression that you had only skimmed the thread and this undermined your argument.

Many have been drawn to the SW because the fluff shows a respect for honour, integrity, loyalty and respect for the citizens of the Imperium, ie a long way from the high handed arrogance implicit in the fluff of some other Chapters. This means that most long term SW devotees haven't codex-swapped to get the best deal but played the cards that they have been dealt. It is also perhaps why those that do use an alternative codex than their own don't receive much sympathy here in the Fang. It may appear unseemly if not downright disloyal to us - hey ho!

I guess the thread highlights the great variety this hobby encompasses, but also served to remind me why there is no other Chapter I'd rather be associated with.

Anyway, seeing that you are here Little Brother, enjoy the ale!
