Durfast Spiritwolf
Many... Thunderwolves are big enough to carry a space marine but I think that Blackmanes wolves are supposed to be the largest. Grim Dog Studios
Thanks, in my fluff im going to have my wolf lord slay a blackmane, but at a large cost of his legs, after chaining the wolf's lifeless corpse to his back, he started to head back to the fang. By the time he had reached the fang, all the power in his legs had gone, and he was rewarded with bionic replacements earning the name Wulox Thunderfoot. Custodian Athiair
the slaying of a blackmane has already been done. Where do you think Ragnar got his title from? so it's a bit old but it's your character Athiair :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184603-what-type-of-wolves-are-there-on-fenris/#findComment-2182172 Share on other sites
Durfast Spiritwolf
Fantastic - still, if he made it bad to the Fang after the wolf had severed his legs then he would be a true hero :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184603-what-type-of-wolves-are-there-on-fenris/#findComment-2182174 Share on other sites
nurglespuss
Or, if the wolf crippled his legs, but he bested it, and forced it to carry him back to the fang, by which point they had earned a 'mutual respect' for eachother, that would be quite original.... Grim Dog Studios
How about i change it to a thunderwolf, then it can also tie in why hes called thunderfoot? Durfast Spiritwolf
The Thunderwolf idea has legs - uh, I'll get my coat... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184603-what-type-of-wolves-are-there-on-fenris/#findComment-2182182 Share on other sites
Grim Dog Studios
No, he has bionic legs, so hes called Wulox Thunderfoot, so if it was a thunderwolf that took them off, the name kinda fits in aswell. Durfast Spiritwolf
Sorry, I shouldn't assume that everyone understands a colloquial expression. If something 'has legs' it means that it has the ability to last and be a success, ie that your idea was a good one. In this case it was also a (poor) pun on the loss of the hero's legs.
