stinkenheim
Gah, two updates in an hour... waht's happened to me. Engir Krakendoom!! 1) Start with a backwards 'L'. This will form the back of the neck and the bottom of the sea part. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0713.jpg 2) Add another 'L' this time though you need to angle the top towards the right. This is the snout. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0714.jpg 3) Ok, a few little steps in this one, add another 'L' about halfway up the snout. This is the eye. Now add a diagonal line to form the basis of the ear. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0715.jpg 4) Add a funky looking 'Z' to line up with the bottom of the snout. This is the lower jaw/chin. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0716.jpg 5) Add some triangles to form the top row of teeth. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0717.jpg 6) You need a diagonal line at the top of the eye section, there seems to be a little bump on the logo where the ear starts and thats this bit here. Now you need to add a curved line from that on the the tip of the ear. Then another curve to go down the back of the ear. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0718.jpg 7) Ok, a bit awkward to explain (but thats what the pictures are for, surely). Paint a kind of 'W' shape, this is the back of the jaw bone. Now using an almost 'T' shape connect this to the front of the lower jaw... oh i cant explain it very well, copy the picture lol. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0719.jpg 8) Add a series of 'L' shapes in a curve to form the back of the neck. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0720.jpg 9) Now for the bit I hated doing. The waves at the bottom. Start at the end of the 'W' you drew for the jaw bone. You need to mirror this line down to the chin, leaving a small gap all the way down. Once this is done you can add the curves of the waves, I really can't tell you how much I hated doing this part. I also fudged it up a little as I ran out of space but with more practice it would look better. You could also ignore part of this step if you feel comfortable enough to add in the definition of the lower jaw later on, simply by painting the shape using the background colour of your pauldron (look at me busting out the technical terms- pauldron...) http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0721.jpg 10) Paint it all black. http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp86/stinkenheim/SAM_0722.jpg Righty-ho, I suppose you guys will want me to finish this thread off at some point... but it's new years, that means the ale is calling.... I heartily promise that this thread will not go un-updated for another year though. Although chances are the next update will be in a new year... if that makes sense. FenrisWolf
I'd like to see Stinkenheim finish it out if he is still willing. The tutorials are excellent!
