A detailed Tactical guide?

I thought rather than plague the B&C with either loads of tactical articles or a giant one which people would never read to create a site using a free-hosting system and I'm wondering if others would read it if, say a link was put in the link section and also my signature.

I only ask because it'll be a lot of work and if no-one would read it then I'd feel pretty stupid.

(Also it wouldn't be up any time soon)

You know what I'd like? A big hard-backed book of tactics, with contributing articles, lots of maps with big arrows on them, that I can read in a deckchair with a Mohito. On a beach.

...sorry, drifted off there! Although a good idea, you'd have to give me a good reason to not just stick to B&C articles such as the Librarium: A good cross-referenced index would be a boon, as would high-lighting and linking words the way that Wiki does.

It would be a major undertaking, and need good IT skills too. As a new forum you'd have the battle against childish flamers, leetspeak and impropriety to deal with.

Were I to attempt something like this, I'd put a proposal to Brother Argos to ask to create it on B&C, where these battles have already been fought, and won, by our hard-working moderators :P

However you choose to do it, I wish you the best of luck, and yes, I will certainly be a visitor! ;)

(My plastic soldiers are desperate for me to learn any new tactics, as my Round-2-redeploy-into-my-army-bag technique is starting to embarass them in front of their friends)

You might just have a point there but I don't know if the B&C would quite appreciate an entire codex being dissected and analysed but nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess.

I shall consider this further.

(And of course a hard bound book would be better! However not something I'm quite ready for. Hehe

That would be a sweet thing. :ermm:

I think Commander Sasha's idea is helpful. You get to come in under the B&C umbrella.

You will be able to gauge how well it is going straight away with the views and if it tanks then you haven't given all your blood doing it, plus the Mods would be already in place and that would leave you free to do the work you intended and not crowd control....

btw, did you check out Advanced Tau Tactica?

Hate to burst your bubble Mikal, but Magalodon and myself and doing it here: http://space-wolves-grey.blogspot.com/

Here's just a few of our latest entries:

Wolf Guard Guide

Mark of the Wulfen VS Power Weapon

Wolf Priest tactics

Rune Priest tactics

Very in depth, with mathhammer, points comparisons and pretty much all the things you've suggested.

Of course, we're happy to have more people on board to help us with this project.

If you're interested, say so here, PM me or do both! ;)

You God!

(I'll admit I don't have much opportunities to play games at the minute so most of it would be theoretical and would take years to complete, by which time we'd have a new dex!)

I'll be keeping an eye on that. And you didn't burst my bubble, I love the layout
