Proud Papa Daemonhunter

I caught my 18 month old daughter raiding my painting desk and pretending to paint up one of my grey knights. It was so cute I couldn't even be mad that she was playing with my good vallejo #2 brush. Usually when I paint with her around, I give her a cup of water, a junk plastic mini and a cheapo brush so she doesn't try to grab the paint pots and such. I guess tonight she wanted the real thing. You can't see it in the picture but she also managed to grab my plastic glue and pretended to glue the Battletech Grasshopper that's on the desk behind her in the 1st pic. I guess it's time to start locking that stuff up when I'm done.

P.S. As I'm posting this she's singing the theme song to American Dad (It's her favorite show and yes I know that makes me and my wife horrible parents )

It is nice to know that I am not the only one that has been sucked into ... I mean, enjoys both 40K and Battletech miniatures. And can endure the time and cost needed.

Yep. She's never really shown all that much interest in getting into that stuff outside of us painting together, but I guess now that she's a little taller and can climb a little better, it's a different story so into a locked drawer it shall go.

Agreed. It's amazing and quite a shame how many people I meet seem to think that Battletech and 40k are mutually exclusive (with a great deal of smack talking coming from the Battletech crowd). Anyhow, I enjoy collecting and playing both games though 40K has more of my attention now, especially now that I've found a Daemonhunters list that I really like and am trying to get painted up before the new year.

Same here although I have a couple of friends that played both. However, I am the only one that actively collected BattleTech figures. I have heard a lot of the same smack talk coming from both crowds which is a real shame. Both games have enough variety in their armies (and their colour schemes) to appeal to most people's preference.
