Listed Alternatives. New Options as Old see's Death

So i have been playing for about a year now, and i run with the pack. When i was roped into this game i was forced to play some Xeno's of a friends army (i will not name them, but to get the anger out of the air, i have crushed them beneath the feet of many greyhunter) But, of course with the chaning of the Codex and with GW putting a few of my more formidable and lovable Pack choices to rest, i am in the need of a few old wolves out there to maybe Nudge me in the right direction of play. instead of Listing my Roster of wolves i play, i will sum up a majority of what i take

Wolf Gaurd battle Leader

Venerable Dreadnaught (assualt cannon <3)

The Battle leader had himself the Bodygaurd of about 5 other wolf Gaurd, all armed to the teeth with heavy weapons and they all have Terminator Honors

10 Greyhunters (one or two packs depending on points)

10 Bloodclaws (in a rhino no less, best way to get them across the feild)

Long Fangs (old points still made me feild em)

Plasma C, Las Cannons

Predator Auto cannon and Heavy Bolters

Lem Russ

From their, if i needed to add more, i would either add more Grey Hunters, or Drop pods/transports

With the changes i can no longer do the HW Wolf Gaurd as i used to, and i can't even field a Lem Russ, and the Blood Claws need some sort of a leader. My last 1500 point list had myself some nice choices, and it performed well, i won the local battle with it (the cowardly Xeno's known as Tau had no chance)

I had Ulric and Njal, 9 Greyhunters (with Njal) and 9 Bloodclaws (with Ulric) in a rhino, i had 10 more greyhunters, a Ven Dread with a droppod, a predator with auto cannon and Heavy B's, i got two groups of Long Fangs, one Six pack group 2 Las, 3 Plas, and one 5 man group 3 HB's and 1 ML (they drew the enemy into perfect line of sight of the Larger pack, alot of enemys like to charce my Fangs, no matter which pack)

But i really want to start building my ruined Compony once again, and im just trying to find out what is some good alts, Especially Equip Options for the WGBL, and Wolfgaurd, and i was toying with the idea of Thunderwolves to go toe to toe with those Cheezed out Nobs on bikes. i find myself in a much better place in which to paint/field/fluff/ and add to my army, my Local Den of play just helped me finish a planet of Ice board. So i started With the Reconstruction of my old Forces. Ill Post Pictures of them as i go along. The Wolf Gaurd Battle leader is Assembled and painted, and based, and as everyone at my Den tells me, "Looks incredible and we fear meeting him in battle" So again, ill try to get pictures of both the WGBL and the Planet Board so the old wolves can comment

Thanks for Listening to someone who Thinks they are More then a Bloodclaw but not a wolf lord

He stated "I can't even field a Lem Russ." Not meaning to pick so done with that.

On to the original post, I understand your pain I to fielded a Russ and a Ven Dread as a HQ plus other units that are no longer available/ Viable so I am having to rework everything from the groud up. The good news is that you can field something similar to what you had just have to do in a diffent way. I am running Bjorn as my ven Dread HQ, close to same cost as a LRE, plus I am using a Predator to replace my LRE, cheaper than a Ven. Dread, so for about the same price as a Ven. Dread and LRE in the old dex I am fielding Bjorn and a Predator, its a wash. You just have to figure out what is best for your playing style. But it sounds like you could do the same, plus you would get two preds instead of one, just lose one point of armor and Bjorn is WAY better than a normal Ven. Dread.

i Thought of Doing that for sure, even played a few games (my old ven Dread can easialy Sub as bjorn, it is very wolfish, i will post its picture when i get some taken of my army heh) But aside from that, would perhaps some thunderwolves work to replace the Lem. Russ? i know they are fast attack, but i figure they do pack a heckava close combat punch, plus the rending on them is rather useful for...well. Yes.
