Well after a long break off of gaming, i have decided to start playing my wolves again. My question is exactly how many hits does a Blood Claw get on a charge 3 or 4. they have the attack characteristic of 1 in the profile and the +2 for the furiois charge do they get another +1 for additional close combat weapon?

thanks

4 attacks on the charge. 1 base, 1 for 2 close combat weapons and 2 for charging.

when counter attacking they have 3. 1 base, 1 for 2 close combat weapns and 1 for counter attack (assuming they pass their leadership test.)

in subsequent rounds of combat they have 2 attacks. 1 base and 1 for 2 close combat weapons.

lastly if ragnar is in the unit they replace beserk charge with ragnars special rule and so have +D3 attacks on the charge, this means they may end up with less attacks than normal. i only say this as i figured someone at somepoint will bring up ragnar :)

Yea the easiest way of looking at it:

A unit, when charging a unit, gets an Attack bonus of +1. The Blood Claws rule supercedes that, and instead says, "Hey look, when these crazy monkeys charge in, they get an Attack bonus of +2 instead of the normal +1." So all other normal benefits apply.

Note that when you Counter-Charge, you only get a +1 Attack bonus, not +2 (as it isn't considered a "normal charge").

Exactly:

So

Charge: 1 Base + 1 for 2 CC Weapons + 2 For Charging as a Blood Claw. (= 4 Attacks)

Counter Charge: Pass Test: 1 Base + 1 for CC Weapon + 1 for 'Charging'. (= 3 Attacks)

Counter Charge: Fail Test: 1 Base + 1 For 2 CC Weapons. (= 2 Attacks)

Subsequent Turns of Comabat: 1 Base + 1 for 2 CC Weapons. (= 2 Attacks)
