Representing grey huners versus blood claws

Nope... 2/3 of the basic equipment is pretty good. You can go the extra mile, but as long as they are properly painted and otherwise equiped there can be fundamentally no difference between a GH and a BCs model.

Yeah, luckily WYSIWYG is pretty relaxed nowadays.

I would say try and have a few in the squad with bolters (personally, I've given them all bolters as I'm not a massive fan of blood claws).

A good way to show the difference is the shoulder pads. If I see a yellow & red pad, I'm gonna assume blood claws, if i see black and red I'm gonna assume grey hunters.

you dont need to model your grey hunters with bolters, bolt pistols, close combat weapons, frag and krak grenades as they are standard wargear for that unit. the WYSIWYG rules apply to upgrades, meltabombs for instance should be on some models, power fists/weapons should be there as should special weapons like plasma guns. this is because the upgrades are the suprises your unit has and its in the interests of fair play and gaming ethics that your opponent should know what they are facing.

many people around here are modeling grey hunters with bolt pistols and close combat weapons and some with bolters. this is very similar to how the grey slayers were represented in C:EOT. if the models are unpainted i would say to have the majority wielding bolters to help both you and your opponent differentiate the two units. i have my blood claws on running legs so that whilst they remain unpainted (for a good while i imagine) they are visualy different to my grey hunters.
