Ragnar + Wolves = Lots of death

Wolf Lord Cuneglas

Okay, I've been reading through the codex and trying to come up with some killer combos. GW did a good job of (Yes I'm a fan boy) removing sneaky combos (Saga of hunter used w/ thunderwolf, jetpacks, bikes, etc.). So tell me what you think.

Ragnar + his 2 wolves for wargear + 15 wolves.

Canis Wolfborne or another lord with Wolfkin saga.

This turns the 17 wolves into I6 (on the charge) A2 +D3 at S5. That's just the wolves, Ragnar will obviously be a wrecking ball on his own, but think about how much area a mob like that could cover, the tricky part is getting Ragnar far enough ahead so he doesn't slow the pack down.

Follow that with Canis or another Wolf Lord on TWC and you have a Destructo force on your hands. The 15 wolves are under 130 pts. That's a super cheap assault force that will ruin someone's day.

Feed back is appreciated.

the olves taken as wargear take up 2 spaces now, they are fatties like terminatour armoured people...

as for the fast attack wolves i honestly don't know but i would think that they are not allowed inside a transport.... could you imagine the mess theyd make, youd have to get the bondsmen in to clean it out after and i don't think they'd like that...

they've obviously done this so you cant have a land raider full of wolves on their own with the ability of assaulting anything within 36" (tank moving flat out 18"(?) + 12" charge range + 6" fleet of foot)

now that would be killer!

They can. They do however force the unit to move at the slowest speed- so a WL on a bike would only move six, and when assualt came he would slow the wolves down to 6 aswell, and wouldnt benefit from fleet.

So usually its a bad idea.... usually.
