Hail Brothers.

Next SA i will participate in an interactive event at my local GW store. First i would like to know if it will be an international event or only a local (german) event?

Has anybody else heared of it and will join the War? There was an announcement in the last WD (the one with the Skaven on the cover).

Planned is a large-scale Planet Strike Mission. It´s SW (and other imperial Forces) against Orks. SW will be the defenders.

I don´t know how many points i will be allowed to take, but it seems that i could choose 2-3 FOCs (about 2500-3000 points each).

 

Planet Strike isn´t a system that i had played very often. To be honest only one time at the day of is´s release and as the attacker. I know that the strategic assets for both sides are predetermined by GW and that each player will get a secret submission.

I haven't heard any of this for North America, but I'll keep an eye out. Seems like a lot of fun though.

The Smoke did clear, the Forces of the Dark Gods and the Greenskin are on full retreat, Bjorn´s mighty dreadnought body stood guard over the battered body of Wolf Priest Rudgar. His auspex told him that the Wolf Priest was still alive. Around him the Commanders of the other Chapters gathered their forces. "Bjorn for Dragonclaw. Sector Golf Whisky Bravo 1 secured. Enemy Forces on full retreat. Request Thunderhawk for immediate mecidal evacuation."

The fight had been hard and none off the strike forces had been without heavy casualties. Only the collected might of five chapters had been able to break the green tide. Bjorn´s own force had taken only moderate looses but the strike force under Wolf Guard Battle Leader Karl had been totally whipped out. From Belials 25 Deathwing Terminators onyl six survived. The Crimsons Fists and the Black Templars had taken only light looses. The Patriarchs of Ulixis had taken heavy looses.

They had hold five of the seven bastions. Two had been leveled by the Orks. It had been the nobel sacrifice of Wolf Priest Rudgar That had saved two more bastions before the evil forces of chaos. Together with his BC he had taken out a Daemon Prince, six Chaos Terminators, eight Stormboys and a Raptor Lord.

 

As you can guess it was a funny game. We had been 6 imperial commanders (2x2000 points and 4x1500 points), 4 Waaaghbosses and 2 Chaos Lords (10000 points total). I had been the Supreme Commander and the Patriarch off Ulixis Captain had been my Second-in-Command. It had been a big Planet Strike interactive Event with 73 stores involved. We had fought on three Planets with 3 warzones on each. Each Warzone consists off 8 stores (in one case 9 stores). The Imperial forces had been the defenders while Orks and Chaos had been the attackers. Their Mission in our sector had been to clam control over the bastions and we had to prevent this. We played three round. In the 3rd ork round they had taken four off the 7 bastions but we had been able to retake two off them. At the end four warzones had been in imperial hand, 3 had been in Ork hand and 2 had been contested. So it ended with a victory for the Imperium.
