Dam13n
It's been a while since I posted on these forums.. been busy with work... crap excuse I know Anyway... Had this sitting in my abandoned projects box for about 6 months... just finally got round to playing DOW II and hey presto - inspiration... I had the legs and the base torso and base left arm done... Since added the chest raven, finished the loin cloth, made the right arm up, sculpted both shoulder pads and did the jump pack. Still have to detail the greaves (shins) and the left forearm. The head is a temp (not attached) and the jump pack is just pinned, not glued to make painting easier... So still a little to do... just felt it was about time for some C&C to drive the last few areas along and keep me motivated to get him finished Anyway here are the pics: http://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenWIPFront.jpghttp://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenWIPRight.jpg http://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenWIPBack.jpghttp://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenWIPLeft.jpg Update Sculpting over, Undercoat applied. http://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenUCFront.jpghttp://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenUCLeft.jpg Update Painting Stage 01 - Red and Bone almost done, Black areas based. http://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenPainting01Fron.jpghttp://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenPainting01Back.jpg Update Painting Stage 2 - Just touch up and base to do http://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenPainting02Fron.jpghttp://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenPainting02Left.jpg http://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenPainting02Back.jpghttp://i352.photobucket.com/albums/r358/MatthewDaunt/ActualScaleBloodRavenPainting02Righ.jpg Like I said C&C most welcome... Dam13n
Thanks guys... I still have about 2-3 hours worth of sculpting to do, then to add some rivets using PVA Considering I have a fairly busy day job, I probably won't finish this until wednesday. Painting-wise he's gonna be a slow burner, probably... It'll probably take me 1-2 weeks to paint him... well, if he's gonna look good anyway. Laterz... FlamingDeth
Heh, fancy that, when you make pretty much the entire model bigger, the jump pack no longer looks ridiculously oversized! Nice work on the sculpting, that must have taken a while. Dam13n
Thanks Doghouse... of course if I hadn't seen your old true/gothic/actual scale models, I would never have been tempted to try one of these... This is my second actual scale, the first was an eagle warrior which I posted up here over 6 months ago... Though after this one turned out better than the first I am now planning a third... Started the legs this afternoon... should be interesting Laterz...
