capt.nuss
As some will know, im tremendously bad at taking pics. But as i was on Throne of Skulls this weekend, some others had a try, and i found some results on the net. Here, the colours are correct, and you actually see some detail :cuss Finally !! So, its possible. Not for me, but in general. :) So here, and click for some better resolution: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/cimg142645y2.jpg Well, its in the travel box, but still the most true to the coloour pic i have got of my minis in wolfwing. Not very sharp in focus, as the blue stuff on the armour are 2 to 3 separated lines usually, not blue blobs. Edemia
That is amazing work mate. I especially love the freehand work on the rhino and the drop pod. Maybe I missed it but weren't you going to do a tutorial on your heads? commander alexander
This is hard for me to comprehend, but your painting just seems to keep getting better, and its already amazing. The weathering effect on that rhino is great. How large of a SW army are you planning to make? Enjoy. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0111.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0110.jpg Where exactly are you putting the magnets for magnetising the Heavy Bolter? I couldn't really see the space for it when I considered it, so I'd like to know so I can do it also. Gresiloth
How the hell did you paint those vehicles? HOW?! Please explain your method immediately! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184866-wolfwing-1750p/page/5/#findComment-2401202 Share on other sites
cathar the great
The weathering is slightly exaggerated for my tastes, but the paintjob is still awesome ^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184866-wolfwing-1750p/page/5/#findComment-2401348 Share on other sites
Nacho Wolf
At the start I thought you would never get it done, in the middle I thought you were awsome, and now I hate you because I'm going to try a paint like this and fail miserably  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184866-wolfwing-1750p/page/5/#findComment-2401369 Share on other sites
Wispy
re: your awesome drop pod. It seems to me you have hit the following notes on the doors: - Wolf Lord (thunderwolf lord) - Grey Hunter (the cover of Lone Wolves, by the look of it) - Blood Claw (charging) - Long Fang (heavy bolter) What are you missing? I'd say Wolf Guard. Plaster a nice Terminator on a door. dizzy-xc
Way cool. Think I might put some sulphuric acid in a spray bottle and see if I can get some weathering effects like you did. noodlenerd
This is ridiculous. How the hell do you paint this good? The weathering on the rhino is probably the best I´ve ever seen. capt.nuss
Where exactly are you putting the magnets for magnetising the Heavy Bolter? I couldn't really see the space for it when I considered it, so I'd like to know so I can do it also. Its in between the gunenrs hands. I use neodym magents, very small and quite strong enough for our 40K modelling purposes; für the guns, they are 3mm in diameter, 1mm thick. Holds the stuff perfectly in place. You just drill a hole trough the gun grip the gunner is holding, and place your magnet there. You could even also just glue it in place. It seems to me you have hit the following notes on the doors:- Wolf Lord (thunderwolf lord) - Grey Hunter (the cover of Lone Wolves, by the look of it) - Blood Claw (charging) - Long Fang (heavy bolter) What are you missing? I'd say Wolf Guard. Plaster a nice Terminator on a door. I had chosen a Runepriest. Not sure if i have shown it yet though. commander alexander
Paretty Awesome! I would say its 2 much weathering but when it looks THAT nice its OK .... I think the weathering looks amazing, and it ties the whole army together, as an army in the thick of it, not fresh off the production lines. dizzy-xc
Hae those white untextured looking rocks on your thunder bases. Great model.... great paint, love the them. Hate those rocks. Did I say those white rocks distract from the model and make it sucky looking. Awesome thunderwolves, man. I want.
