Ufthak
Hi all. I recently gamed a friend of mine, using my Imperial Guard against his Chaos troops. I was slaughtered within 3 turns. Anyways, he is an old gamer, in the hobby since 2nd Edition; and some of Chaos Marines were as old. I noticed that some of his marines had massive bolters with long mags and barrels, and asked him what they were. He said they were "Ork Bolters" from 2nd Edition and he thought they looked good on marine models. I fell in love with them instantly - they would be perfect for my Pre Heresy marines. Now my question: Any of you got ideas where I could get these ancient things from? I would really appreciate any info ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184873-ork-bolters/ Share on other sites
dynamicspartan
My first guess would be ebay. Otherwise I would have no idea at all. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184873-ork-bolters/#findComment-2185491 Share on other sites
Pacific81
It sounds very much like they are from the ork plastic weapon sprue from late 1st edition/2nd edition. If they are the ones I am thinking of, your only chance would be ebay, perhaps to get a pile of 'old orcs' or some such like - all of the orcs that came in blister packs of that period had them, but I don't think they would be anything like as prevalent as marine stuff from that period (which is getting pretty rare now as well!)
