Frontline989
Does the Standard Bearer model in the GW online site come with the standard? I see the pole but I assume it has the standard as well? Kinda silly otherwise I would think. Frontline989
Guess I'll just use the flag from the SW Pack. No point paying for a standard bearer with no standard. Lord Myki
New to the 40K world. Have decided that my first army would be the Space Wolves. Have play warhammer for many years. Jonny Wolf
Welcome Brother Myki, Some guidelines for you my young whelp: 1. Don't thread-jack: take someone elses thread and completely change the subject (what you did with this one, lol :( ) 2. Intro yourself at the top of the main Space Wolves page. Have an ale! Grey Mage
Hi Myki. Boars roasting, go get a plate. Frontline: Its a wonderful model, and making a banner isnt rough... just get yourself some paper, find one you like and trace it if your not up for freehanding, and then color it as you see fit. Just know if you use GW paints to not water them down, at all. Then wrap it around the crossbeam with the flanges you left, you did leave some flanges right?, and your good. Lumdin
I have also used the standard bearer and cut and mounted on the standard bearer's pole, goblin banners with the fraid bottoms (they look war torn), standards from the sprue box, and also the large space marine standard. It gives me a wider variety of banners for each of my grey hunter packs. I will probably never field all of them at the same time, but you never know. Frontline989
What about green stuff? Would you recommend that or paper. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/184986-standard-bearer/#findComment-2189304 Share on other sites
WulfenKin
The older Space Wolf Standard Bearer is a truly classic Space Wolves figure, so it is a good start. Also, with the new standard toppers on the new Space Wolves sprue, you can replace the VI at the top of the Standard if you want. Anyway... Did not this model come with a couple of the old sticker banners? Or was that just Bjorn and Ragnar? Thought the Standard Bearer came with one as well.
