Lost Lore

I've managed to find a copy of the Battle for Prospero ccg from sabertooth games and was happily supprised to find it still had the invasion story by Graham McNeill still included. So I thought that something inspirational for new pups and those longer in the fang might be some of the older tales of Russ and the Wolves found in tomes which are no longer in wide circulation. Please post any tales of the Wolves from canon sources (ret-conned or otherwise) which you feel will inspire those who'd walk in Russ' footsteps. If you can include a reference for those of us who follow behind it'd be great so we know where to look for our wolf fluff!

That's a fairly complete list of all the canon and BL sources for information on the Space Wolves, all of the most imporant information from those sources save the 5th Edition Codex and Tales of Heresy anthology (what can I say I've been busy...) are included in the Space Wolves: A Comprehensive History.

Well if the source isn't on the list, get me a summary/paraphrase of the info and I'll include it. Except for the Wolf and the Lion, that's already included in the article though not with it's own heading, I suppose I could add the DA Codexies to the list...

Pl.Manetstrike, besides that beautiful picture of us assault a tau held world also says on pg 56 that we conducted an underwater war on a tau sept, emerging triumphant after several months, using THawks to take out their skimmer heavy support while our marines remained underwater and marched to their cities in the depths. 966.M41

A different account of the same event (as far as I can tell) is also in the new SW Codex. Not sure how I'll work that one out.
