The Inquisition cometh

Lets see.. the best thing is to attempt to expect nothing :nuke: The Inquisition codices, once in the hands of a general with time to acquire and make their own models and choices, allow for essentially ANYTHING to be fielded.

In terms of the core troops, the Grey Knights are extremely adapatable reactive troops, that will be fewer in number than other Space Marines, but with every trooper armed with a storm bolter and str 6 attacks, are often more capable of putting out firepower and managing an assault. Grey Knight Terminators are often considered the best terminators in the game.

Sisters of Battle are surprisingly capable for being T3, and very aggressive in terms of firepower. They go for a short range firefight, heavy on the flamers and melta. Acts of Faith can turn the tide in surprising ways unexpectedly.

The interesting comes with the Other units in the Codex. Assassins, Inquisitors, crazy things of the Ecclesiarchy, inducted Imperial Guard or even other Space Marines (if they forfeit Grey Knights or Sisters, not a popular option). These units can be wacky, hideously effective, and highly customizable. Many involve hand to hand, but some are quite shooty (some Inquisitor builds, Vindicare's). If I were you I'd always ask what a unit was and look at the Codex if you need, as we're even actively encouraged by GW to model our own custom models and wacky stuff, so while WYSIWYG will be maintained, no two armies will look the same.

Above all though, expect a lot of fun. They've very fun books to play and play against, and everyone loves the models ;)

Thats something I have noticed!!! Like I said I'm the one assembling and painting them and while yes they're all metal so converting/adding on is difficult, there hasn't been a single model I've felt needed to have something done to make them look cooler or better.

In the old days we were incouraged to convert pretty much every model in every army, and we were rewarded for our conversion work by having options that there were, and never would be, rules for.

Metal is easy to add to, you just need to prep the surfaces.
