Wolf priest in BC?

Purely theoretical but here's an article on all of the whelps:

The Wolf Priest is a logical choice because of granting re-rolls but I feel pretty much anything can be used, the pack leader adds some cheap punch, the WGBL has more attacks and pretty much any wargear they want, in fact I like WGBL's as leashes for claws, lords are a tad too expensive to be throwing round with the newbies in my opinion, unless fluffwise he loves running with them. I dislike Rune Priests with the claws though, not really suited to the rest of the pack.

I dunno, I used them as a bodygaurd for my Rune Priest the other day... worked out rather well.

As I've said buddy, it's purely theoretical for me and I'd rather put him with a Grey Hunter pack, good to know about your experience though, shall take that into consideration.

To be more specific... Stormcaller is alot more useful with alot of bodies that just wiped out 1/4 of a tau gunline, while Tempests Wrath made him kind of nervous about moving his suits over to take those shots anyways.

IMO Wolf priests are an ideal choice, especially if you go for the larger packs. More dice means more re-rolls, so his ability is more useful. Having fearless is also nice.

A PFist, PFist pack leader and Wolf Priest with beastslayer saga is also a nice combo to take down those walkers & MCs.

With the right powers, a rune priest can be interesting too, but I find that they lack the CC punch to really give the "helping hand" that the BC need to really power through a combat. Murderous hurricane can be nice, forcing the enemy to take dangerous terrain test when they react to your charge. Living lightning can pop transports, letting you charge the squad inside.

As is often the case, it's making the best of a given situation. Each HQ bring his own advantages and disadvantages, it's up to you to determine if it works for your particular loadout.
