Something Fishy...

Put simply, I hate unpainted models. And I find my old paint scheme so dull to paint now. And I'm pressed for time (or at least, i want to get my marines done so I cna work on my guard). So, end result? Spray my unpainted models white, wash 'em blue and green, paint some details, add some basing and get them the hell out the way.

Despite this, I kinda liked how it turned out. Its barely table top quality, and the mould line on the helmet is horrific, but as far as rushed jobs go I don't think he is that bad. Ish.

Thats... GENIUS!!!

Get rid of the mold lines and you've got a paint scheme (it would also look good for a cloth colour on you guard!)

If you think thats barely tabletop quality you should see some of the armies in games at my local shop (then again some of the guys are young, but most are my age-15-and I'm pretty good, if I do say so myself! Most of them are just lazy-they ask the staff what rule does what when the rulebook is right in front of them! ;) )

Thats a good colour though my man-maybe when your guard are done you can get highlights etc. on them?

Why thank you very much. If the B&C admin don't mind, I'll just stick up a quick pic of my guard. i mainly play Catachans, but I got a few Cadians I want to get painted up quick. So I've done a similar method

I await prosecution :lol:

This is going to be a slow process, cos I've run out of spray. And Bloodhowl, I'm 16 and I like to think i can paint moderately well. Better than this at least. And the question still stands: what number system?

The symbol looks very similar to the Armeniam numeral for seven (if the lines were coming from the bottom and centre, rather than top and centre!).

Not a bad job at all though, for a quick job. Certainly a level I'm sure most would be happy with!

The line = 5

Each dot = 1

i.e.

I: = 7

I. = 6

II = 10 (in theory)

: = 2

etc.

Just a little theory...

I think the scheme works, really - it's new, fresh and a fantastic idea!

On the note of Squad no.7 - he could be in the reserve company...

Mayan.

Looks nice for a speed painting job!

Emperor damn it, a cookie for that man! It is indeed the Mayan numerical system, simply rotated 90 degrees.

Maybe this little bugger is better than I thought! And I'm thiking of simply adding one more dot to the kneepad, thus making it '6', for reserve company.
