plaguereaper
Hey there, lately I was inspired by Lemming's take on a chaos spawn (over at Dakka), that looked like a flying maggot. Here is my take, i added some armor looking plates, and a stinger http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n457/chickenbgood/DSC04252.jpg The paperclips is where i wanted to give him wings, this i figured out that that would be hard as heck to do. http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n457/chickenbgood/DSC04253.jpg Lately i've been pondering weather or not to get the FW blight drone, then i looked at this sitting on my bench, and said.... hmmm, this could save me an arm and a leg over FW http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n457/chickenbgood/DSC04255.jpg the "wing" things are a ork trukk wrecking ball arm, and the lids of 2 paintpots cut up. (while cutting those up, i kinda sliced my finger up to hell, i cut a big chunk out of my thumb) I only have 1 "wing" done, because i need another ork wrekking ball, although i swore i had another sitting around here. (modeling is JUST like playing with Legos, you find stuff when you DONT need them lol) http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n457/chickenbgood/DSC04327.jpg Here is some detailing, I tried to do some exposed muscle looking wounds. plaguereaper
(This post I started over at Dakka, and decided to let you guys have a few stabs at it) Heres some updates of the stuff I did last night. I added some armor plating on his head, added an "eye" and some guns. http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n457/chickenbgood/DSC04393.jpg The eye is a spotlight thingy-majig from a chimeria i think. The underslung gun thing was easier to do than I thought. I have him an assault cannon, ork big shoota, and the barrel of a MG34 from some old toy that I found. http://i339.photobucket.com/albums/n457/chickenbgood/DSC04392.jpg Checklist: 1. Make the other "wing" 2. Find something to use as a propeller inside the wing, because they are empty right now. 3. Add some more fat sacs, wounds, and general nurgly bits. 4. Find a way to base him, I don't really want to just stick a flying base on him and call it good, but I will if I can't think of anything else. If anyone has any suggestions, please tell. More updates soon. C&C very welcome. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185227-nurgle-loves-greenstuff/#findComment-2189958 Share on other sites
S. Bloodhowl
modeling is JUST like playing with Legos, you find stuff when you DONT need them lol Amen to that brother. The model is brilliant but I think it need fattening up a bit, especially around the 'head' part. (mostly on the underside). Here are some of my ideas 1-Wing propellors-get some plasticard sheet and a smallish plasticard tube. Trace the (larger) end of the paint pot lid onto the plasticard sheet and then trace the tube in the centre of that. Split the circle into 8 (equal) sections and cut out (including the inside circle bit). Using 4 sections for each wing, glue them to a desired length of plasticard tubing, at equal intervals, and then to the inside of the wing (for the one already made it may need separated). Bish bash bosh, done. An alternative to the plasticard tubing is a length of sprue, but that might be harder to use.
