slipshod Posted November 19, 2009 Author Share Posted November 19, 2009 Thanks guys for all the kind comments! for the assult cannon, I cut the bottom rail thingie off, drilled out the barrels and the center space between the barrels, sculpted the ends with a hobby knife, then used a section of drinking straw that i poked holes in for the flash hider. slipshod Posted November 20, 2009 Author Share Posted November 20, 2009 :tu: Thanks and feel free to copy all you want, :lol: The most difficult part for me was getting rid of the flashing that was left on the inside of the section of straw after i poked holes in it, to get rid of it i rolled a small piece of sand paper into a tube and ran it through the straw, problem solved. Gothical Posted January 10, 2010 Share Posted January 10, 2010 Wow, fantastic! Great inspiration for me to work on my own Salamanders...if I didn't have 3 essays to write by next monday! Some nice ideas on the Terminators there, might have to "borrow" some of them (not the cannon design, I don't use ACs, but some of the painting tricks). Though I have to say I still don't like the new "black-as-coal" Salamander skintones, yours look OK - though (and I don't want to say it as they're lovely models otherwise) it still makes them look a bit unfinished.
