Jonny Wolf
Really nice brother. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185262-wolf-lord-with-jump-pack-rune-priest/#findComment-2190390 Share on other sites
AdeptusDavidus
They both look very, very nice. What's your recipe on the blue-grey for the armour? It's really close to what I'd love to pull off for my Blackfeather Raiders. My only remotely negative comment is that the outstretched hand on the Rune Priest is, IMHO, a kind of overdone pose. Still, the models look fantastic. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185262-wolf-lord-with-jump-pack-rune-priest/#findComment-2190419 Share on other sites
Jonas Stromclaw
Nicely done, especially the rune priest! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185262-wolf-lord-with-jump-pack-rune-priest/#findComment-2190420 Share on other sites
Dark Bjoern
The Rune Priest look cool, but i don´t know what to do with the WL. I think it´s the head, he looks too young and the hair reminds me a bit of Marvel´s Storm when she´s angry. A WL should look older with a beard. Freman Bloodglaive
I like it. I don't agree about the hair, it looks good. My WL is the best part of 4000 years old and he's still clean shaven (strictly speaking he was born about 4000 years ago and thanks to fighting in the warp he's about 700, but who wants to be pedantic). http://images.fotopic.net/1yrkck.jpg http://images.fotopic.net/yh1g5b.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185262-wolf-lord-with-jump-pack-rune-priest/#findComment-2190488 Share on other sites
imperious
It looks really good, I like the white as an accent color, I might have to steal the for my wolf lord to make him stand out. Grey Mage
I like him... not a fan of the head on the WL, but thats personal taste- the painting and posing on both models is excellant :D. Levitas
Thanks for all the positive feedback gentleman, very much appreciated ;) The armor color is a base coat mix of shadow grey & black with a few drops of codex grey. Then highlighted with pure shadow grey, and a final highlights of shadow & codex grey. I wanted mine to be a little darker. The white hair on the WL was just something I wanted to try. Inspiration would probably be from Dante in Devil may cry, he shock of white hair being distinctive. Is he old, who knows!? I liked the idea of an impetuous wolf lord strapping on a jump pack and absolutely not acting his age. So I left off the beard. He's around about grey hunter age, but his fleeting moments with death have left him with a white mane. Or some other wobbly reason  In hindsight I may have toyed with some of the terminator box heads, but he was already built when i bought that box. I agree, the rune priest pose has been done. I just wanted to make him stick out a lil from the regular wolves as he uses the same parts. Plus with RPs having no distinct color difference he needed a slightly different pose. I still have a second RP on the painting table, along with a jump pack equipped wolf priest. All made from the various SW boxes, which is still impressing me with its versatility.
