Ive been a lurker for awhile..and have loved the Mechanicus army idea sence i first saw the white dwarf that had them as a counts as army. Over the years ive aruged back and forth about how they should get done and how a see them and realy whats what. I was a super aponant of the " use the IG codex" for as long as i could remember. Then i read mechanicus. then a few days later it hit me... why i NEEDed to run them as an IG list... Titan household! run Knight palidans using lemen russ stats ( obviusly with a few bugs and builds to work out) this way..its using the IG list for the armor values and the numbers of tanks..if even a few kwel conversions also. the list for 2k i built will use 6 of these one man titans. 2 squadrans of 2 Russ verants and 2 hellhound verants. 2 vetran squads as skitari and a HQ squad..and 2 techprest enginseers with 2 servitors each. im still working out some of the lil quirks im running into..but ill post those as i fix them.. that said..ill post the first prototype knight tomarrow night..maybe erly saterday.. but ive found an easy way to build them. and even mass prouduce them. so..stay tuned. but so far..im i WAY off? Which is the best Codex to represent the sons of distant Mars and as of yet their has been no right answer. That is not to say that there isnt a lot of good answers, there simply isnt only one correct answer. So by all means, have at it and again, welcome aboard. OIC Posted November 20, 2009 Author Share Posted November 20, 2009 So as im not going to be on latter..i wanted to post what i got done last night on the prototype. http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j122/rattanoni/knighttitanproject001.jpg http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j122/rattanoni/knighttitanproject002.jpg So the upper torso swivels and comes off for transport..when its facing straight forward it comes to 8 inchs tall. all of the parts invavled so far can be found comonly at a hardware store..and for all the parts for 10..it cost about 70$. there is still a few hours of detail work and rivits and well as i still need to figuer out the head, as weel as fabercate some toes. And i need to rethink the base..as a cd is too small and alil too flimzy.
