Havokas
This is my First Space Wolf Dreadnought, im new to wolves and havent fielded them on the tabletop yet and probly wont untill ive got a fully painted force. let me know what you think im looking for ideas on what do do with it. i need to get a new gold colour, a more non-metalic effect would be good. and i have no idea what color the head should be. or how to base it. the gold arches look significantly better in these photo's compared to real life. ive only spent two days on this guy so far, hopefully another week and he'll look as good as my other dreads. http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv225/Garner90/DreadSW4.jpg http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv225/Garner90/DreadSW3.jpghttp://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv225/Garner90/DreadSW2.jpghttp://i686.photobucket.com/albums/vv225/Garner90/DreadSW1.jpg when i first got his model it was very very badly converted into a dark angels dreadnought by sombody else who had taken every dark angel bit imaginabe and superglued on. i could probly make an entire ravenwing from what i pulled off this guy. so the entire model has a slightly uneven surface and almost everywhere is damaged a little but this is the best clean up i could do. Captain Antonius
Greetings Brother, Your dread looks great so far. I can't see much damage anywhere, but then its a venerable dread and should be beat up a little. Good work! Hope to see a finished model soon. Muller
why would a dread have a "knife" attached? :D Other than that I'd love to see more battle damage and a bit more "wolfyness" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185286-space-wolf-ven-dread/#findComment-2191238 Share on other sites
Alienerd
The knife could be a ceremonial thing, or a favoured weapon of pre-dread of the characte Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185286-space-wolf-ven-dread/#findComment-2191302 Share on other sites

Havokas
the knife is there because theres a very uneven area of nothing that once housed a Dark Angels icon. it looked really bad and needed covering. and he has it because it was his before he was put into the dreadnought sarcophagus and i figure Space Wolves are sentimental about weapons that are part of their great sagas. i i can find a wolf pelt that looks good hanging from the front there or sombody at my games club can green stuff one up for me then i'll replace it.
