SM conversion bits

can you please help me in finding the several "cyborg", "bionic" and "mechanical" components in the different 40K bits to convert my new Irno Hands?

I am talking about plastic omponents. I know there is a box "Iron Hands" with a lot of bionics in it :eek

 

I remembere there is one SM head half cyborg. Is it from Devastator squad? the Rhino pilot box?

 

Where does the left bionic arm I see on many SM come from?

The Assaul Squad? ... I don't think so.

 

Others plastic components?

 

What about metal one?

 

I will take Iron Warriors conversion kit, Ultramarine Tirannic wars veterans, the new and old techmarine. of corse the Iron hands.

What else?

an old space wolf wolf guard (metal model) had a rather ornate bionic leg, it was shaped to be a stylised wolf leg with fur and claws on the toes, but it could easily pass as an eagle leg

 

theres a plastic arm in the space marine commander box set, holds a chainsword but its easy to convert

 

the half bionic head is from the tactical squad iirc

 

obviously the old iron hands box set had lots of bionics in it, 2 legs, several helmets, 1 bare head and several arms but i don't know if its still available online as i haven't looked

 

theres a bionic arm on the IG command sqaud frames that i've seen used on marine models

 

IG tech priests backpacks look pretty nice on Iron hand marines too (just don't attach the servo arm) plus their weapons make nice power weapons

 

thats it as far as i remember, although models like dante have more ornate armour (its also less bulky) so you could easily use bits of him as bioncs, or necrons although they are a bit too skinny for marines

Bitzbox and Bits & Kits are your best bet for finding all the bionic bits, this is the bionic commander arm..

The bionic head is from the tactical squad box.

 

Whilst you're browsing bits sites have a look at some of the chaos bits, there arent enough to justify buying a whole box, look at the khorne and undevided sections on there, some of the arms and chests in particular could add some variety into an Iron Hands army quite cheaply. For example this berserker arm here Of course you need to file off any arrows and chaos symbols but I reckon there are a fair few bits that can be put to good use.
