Grazcruzk
This started out as a side project to use up leftover green stuff while I'm working on my daemon prince but I got to the point that I just wanted to finish it. This is my first attempt at a true scale marine. The backpack and the belt buckle are a little wonky but over all I'm happy with the out come and know where I need to improve if I do anymore. Just thought I'd share a bit, let me know what you guys think. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/loki114/warhammer%20stuff/IMG_1357.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/loki114/warhammer%20stuff/IMG_1358.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/loki114/warhammer%20stuff/IMG_1359.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/loki114/warhammer%20stuff/IMG_1360.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185426-true-scale-grey-knight/ Share on other sites
Commander Remiel
It looks like you cut a metal PAGk model in half somewhere around the waist and added the MK VIII (collared) plastic torso. Then added the metal arms from the original metal figure. Am I correct? I am curious as I am looking at doing a DIY GK force and exploring various options available. Grazcruzk
Thanks for the replies. Yeah it is a termie bottom half and arms with a modified marine torso. I'll post the one wip pic I took. Hope that's ok with the mods. It's nothing spectacular, but it's something. I may do a tutorial soon if you guys think it's that good, I hadn't really considered it. :P Here's this real quick. As you can see I'm bad and didn't strip the old stuff before I set to work (I do that a lot). But again, I'll check back later, I have some things pulling me away at the moment. -Graz http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/loki114/warhammer%20stuff/IMG_1353.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185426-true-scale-grey-knight/#findComment-2193145 Share on other sites
Drudge Dreadnought
Its good except for the hair. The hair doesn't look like hair, and i don't think that style belongs on a grey knight. nurglespuss
nice one thanks  it looks different in that shot (more stocky) I see you bulked up the thighs too?... Grazcruzk
Yeah I'll admit the hair is not the best, but it's more supposed to be a representation of myself than anything meant for actual gaming. Yeah, I filled in the thighs with greenstuff the way most other true-scalers do on the back of the legs where the armor frame sticks out. On the torso I just added a thin-ish layer of greenstuff to bulk it up and made the belt a little bit taller to avoid it looking fat. Lamenter
Nicely done. Grey Knights are certainly one of the more difficult models to truescale, what with having to completely rebuild the torso. You've done a fantastic job. Any plans for Terminators? Grazcruzk
Sadly no. It is something I would like to tackle one day but I couldn't say when. I don't actually play anymore for various reasons and mostly just convert what old minis I have laying around whenever I feel inspired. It is funny that this thread got a bump today, I am just in the finishing stages of a nurgle "something" and was thinking about posting some pictures later on. Completely unrelated to this, but I'll probably give you guys a look. Thanks for the compliment, by the way, I lurk around here quite a bit and your work is fantastic. <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185426-true-scale-grey-knight/#findComment-2225717 Share on other sites
