LPetersson
I bring you tales of mighty victory and a bitter draw in a recent tournament. Myself and a friend hired a pub in Stoke Newington and invited a bunch of folks from a few different gaming clubs in London and had ourselves a mini tournament. Due to unforeseen circumstances a couple of people had to drop out, but we still managed the following armies (All at 1000 points): Space Wolves (me) Emperor's Children Emperor's Children Tyranids Tyranids Deathwing (boooo, hiss) Eldar I did say it was a mini tournament :-D Next time we hope to have more people come along. The final score was a draw between myself and the traitor marines of the Dark Angel's 1st company. And that was after a bitterly contested game that left him with 1 (just one bloody marine) left which took it to a draw. Damnation! Myself and the Deathwing player were joint winners of the tourney and will have a rematch at some point <_< I'll post some battle reports + pictures later. My force was: Njal 10 Greyhunters Flamer/Meltagun 10 Greyhunters Plasma Gun/Plasma Gun 6 Long fangs 5 Missile Launchers 6 Long fangs 5 Missile Launchers 1 Razorback TL Lascannon 1 Razorback Lascannon/TL Plasma Gun I am shocked and amazed at how useful my Long Fangs with MLs have been lately. I have even named a squad 'Eagle Eye' because they just lay down the devastation with such precision and truly show the fould xenos and traitors the true fury of the Emperor... In games of >1000 point, I will always bring 2 squads and in 1000+ games I'm gonna bring 3. They are just too absurdly good. Havng the tourney in a pub obviously led to some ale being consumed and it was both deserved and tasty  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185593-glorious-victory-in-the-recent-northeast-london-mini-tourney/ Share on other sites
Wolf Guard Nostromo
Good to hear of your positive results - mini tourneys are always a great test of any force. I agree with you about ml Long Fangs - so effective its unreal at times. As a last thought, if you want some real compeition :P my space wolves are only a short train journey outside London or Stoke Newington  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185593-glorious-victory-in-the-recent-northeast-london-mini-tourney/#findComment-2195163 Share on other sites

Wildfire
That's a pretty scary 1000 pt force, actually. I find that all missile longfangs/devs decrease in value as point limits increase, though. Anyone else find the same?
