antique_nova
Logan who have the warrior born saga! :cuss. and they count the number of models killed by him in the previous turn. Plus he can infiltrate on his own or with any squad ^^. Plus the wolf hide he wears gives him camo cloaks :D. thanks antique_nova Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185664-fun-combosunits-etc/#findComment-2195686 Share on other sites
Perry
I actualy used the following unit in a game a few weeks ago 4 Wolf Guard with jump packs, Thunder hammer and Storm Shield with a Wolf Lord with twin lightning claws, rune armour, jump pack, belt of russ and wolftooth necklace the unit and character came to 592 points in a 1500 point game I also used Logan in droppod with Longfangs + 4 multimeltas The Jump pack WG unit actualy won me that game, they jumped in on two turn, destroyed a 10 man bike unit after a few rounds of combat, made their way up to my enemy's objective, destroyed another large bike unit, then captured and held the objective whilst i contested my own one thanks to a WG termie with cyclone missile launcher :cuss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185664-fun-combosunits-etc/#findComment-2195715 Share on other sites
Demogerg
10 wolf guard with Frostblades Ragnar Blackmane Logan Grimnar Ulrik the Slayer in a Land Raider Crusader Ragnar and logan use their abilities and you get 10x(2+1+1+D3)=50, 60, or 70 S6, I5 power weapon attacks on the charge from the wolf guard alone. oh, and they have prefered enemy, and they reroll wounds as well against T5, MC, walkers, because of slayers oath. Wolf Lord Hallbjorn
-Logan and 10 WG in PA, all with combi-plasmas and wolf claws, riding in a land raider (crusader). logan gives them relentless so they pop out, drop 20 plasma shots, then charge with wolf claws getting 4 attacks each after logan uses Living Legend ( I actually used that 930pt combination against a friend's guard. he laughed hysterically at the amount of points i dumped into them until i ran up to the bulk of his line and gutted his army. he got a good shot off with a battle cannon, but logan still marched around alone and mopped up. not to mention that the remainder of the 1750 was filled with long fangs (3 PC and 2 HB) in a LC razorback, plus Njal and some grey hunters in a drop pod) - 10 WG with jump packs and dual wolf claws - 10 wolf guard with jump packs and TH+SS Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185664-fun-combosunits-etc/#findComment-2196458 Share on other sites

WG Vrox
Logan with RP chooser/SoBS, joins up with a LF pack of 5 Las Cannons and WG with CML. 620ish points is crazy but will get me 5 Str 10 shots, 2 Str 9 shots, and 3.5 Str 8 shots against armour. whitewolfmxc
have some creativity guys lol heres one : 1) Dog leash : wolf preist with jump pack with a group of 15 Fenrisian wolves , move 6 and run each turn into cover to get saves (dont worry about dangerous test for the WP because all IC have skilled rider rules , and you can take IN saves even if you roll 1's twice a turn) , then when close enough to enemy (prefer on open ground since wolves dont have Grenades) , that turn when wolves are in range to charge , dispatch the wolf priest to other own troop or charge another different or same enemy unit that the wolves are charging that way the preist will divert some attacks from the same unit (or another unit if you charge another one) while your wolves are fearless (in previous phase from enemy shooting due to WP) and get to where they are needed Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185664-fun-combosunits-etc/#findComment-2196635 Share on other sites
Chodjinn
10 Switfclaws maxed out, attack bike with MM, plus WGL with TH/SS, plus WL with twin WCs and Warrior Born. Fast and deadly. Even better with a 15 strong pack of Wolves running in front of them as a meatshield. WG Vrox
that turn when wolves are in range to charge , dispatch the wolf priest to other own troop or charge another different or same enemy unit that the wolves are charging Ok so at the beginning of the game the priest nominates a unit type and he and the unit he joins (at the beginning of the game) receives perferred enemy against said unit type. As I read the rules if he leaves the wolves they still have perferred enemy. very very interesting Vrox. Its just like a regular chaplains fearless, or litanies of hate. ;) "He and any unit he joins" does not say any unit that is joined by a WP ,like it does in C:SM is only reason I bring it up. But yes I agree with you and I would never even try to get away with it in a game but still thats how it reads to me. I know I know stinking rules lawyering mo fos. shameful. TiguriusX
I have been playing around with wolf lord combinations and I think I found one I like...but ooooh is it expensive 285-WL w/Runic Armor + Frost Axe + TH + Belt of Russ + WTT + TWM + Saga of the Warrior Born (or Bear) This hero costs more than Logan and you still need a delivery system to get him into combat...but once he is there he dishes out pain. Frost + TH allows versalitity for infantry or large target combat (plus I imagine the model would look badass) -Warrior born would make use of the frost ax and attacks at initiative to unleash a monster -Bear would provide insurance against S10 attacks or special instant death (runic weapons etc) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185664-fun-combosunits-etc/#findComment-2199493 Share on other sites

Exept the wolves proparly want to run (and then the rpiest can't shoot) unles you do some very neat bungi-jumping with the jump pack. What you can do is buy a rhino and have the priest in it and shield that rhino and other wheicels with his snow shield powers. rodgers37
Maybe just Ragnar, Wolf Priest/Ulrik with 10 Grey Hunters in a LRR (with a MM) you get plenty of attacks, preferd enemy ect.... the only problem would be against things like LC terminators that go at the same time, that could kill most of the Grey Hunters.....(only option would to be, try and get ragnar and wolf priest into base contact with 2 each....;) ) I think simple ones, like giving Njal 8 Grey Hunter bodyguards in a Drop Pod is effective.... or Canis with 15 extra wounds for only 120 points :) (aka Fen.Wolves) Canis OWNS in assault.... Oh and if you Drop Pod Logan in, with Long Fangs, do it with 2 MM and 2 LC or ML, more often than not, you will not be in 12" of two tanks, plus the next turn, the Long fangs can sit still, and shoot at a further target with LC or ML......and logan can go and wipe the floor.... (also you could put a bodyguard in there, and another HQ or two :)) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185664-fun-combosunits-etc/#findComment-2199605 Share on other sites

maligncomedy
Why hasn't anyone mentioned a dual powerfist wolf lord? I mean, come on, we have to assert our badassness. Or what about the possibility of the Dual Chainfist Wolf Lord. Mark of the Wulfen Wolf Lord? There are a ton of awesome combinations that are completely useless.
