nurglespuss
Hi Guys! Well, I started a topic awhile ago when I quickly converted these guys, but here are some up to date photos! They've been painted quickly when I've had a spare few minutes here and there, just got to add transfers, and base 'em  http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs076.snc3/14340_342075555322_633810322_9596549_5269067_n.jpg http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs056.snc3/14340_342075560322_633810322_9596550_7866668_n.jpg http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs056.snc3/14340_342075570322_633810322_9596551_378793_n.jpg http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs056.snc3/14340_342075580322_633810322_9596552_4706525_n.jpg Thanks all! They kinda tell me how to paint 'em :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185805-long-fangs-finished-bar-transfersbasing/#findComment-2197363 Share on other sites
jester262
I hear that. I just got done painting a pack of grey hunters, talk about fun. Your Longfangs came out nice. Good work :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185805-long-fangs-finished-bar-transfersbasing/#findComment-2197403 Share on other sites
nurglespuss
Cheers Jester, I got GH next funnily enough! Just as soon as I get some decent weather to spray outside! (I've had just about enough of hand undercoating, and the GH models are lovely, but would take ages! :) That, or I might grab some grey spray, speed it up even more... SW are the first army I've had where I'm not minding if 'units' look different to eachother (different markings, shades of grey etc) as long as they look like a cohesive pack.. cool! Valerian
Great stuff ;) My Mrs is up this weekend, so unfortuntely (sorry love!) no painting for me! Never mind, it can wait! :P Nurgle's Puss (btw, shouldn't that be pus? Puss means something completely different, and is probably more appropriate for Slaanesh than Nurgle), Don't Long Fangs trade in their Bolt Pistols for their Heavy Weapons? I don't have my codex with me, but I thought I remembered that all of the Long Fang's came standard with Bolt Pistol and CCW, but everybody buy the Squad Leader then has to trade the Bolt Pistol for one of the Heavy Weapons listed. V Edit: It looks like there are some guys playing golf on your battlefield, ha, I love it! Night Runner
I like them a lot. I also like the fact that you kept yellow to a minimum (even if you didn't do it intentionally). For quick painting they are very neat. I wish I had your speed. Personally I'd go back and add a wash and some highlights to the brass (gold? can't tell from pic sorry), otherwise congrats. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185805-long-fangs-finished-bar-transfersbasing/#findComment-2197648 Share on other sites
nurglespuss
@ Valerian: I haven't got me codex with me in work, but your probably right! I just wanted the look to be honest :) Thanks! and yep, thats a golf course near where I am at the moment, I'm considering going to :P @ Night Runner: Good point, an extra wash wouldn't hurt a bit! and yep, the yellow minimising was semi-intentional, I think the old heavy weapons would have looked like super soakers if I'd done them in my previous scheme. Plus the bolt pistols seem to be made to be painted that way! Thanks again! WG Vrox
Nice posses and look, great work. I got GH next funnily enough! Just as soon as I get some decent weather to spray outside! (I've had just about enough of hand undercoating, and the GH models are lovely, but would take ages! I live in Oregon USA and it pretty much rains here solid from fall on through to end of Spring. If you can find a waxed carboard box. check with companies that pack meat / fish in ice or the like and you can build yourself a spray both, just be careful of overspray and make sure you cut vent holes in the sides as the paint particles may dry in the air and settle on your model giving it a fuzzy texured look. They kinda tell me how to paint 'em They talk to me too :P , Same thing goes for when your modeling and converting right? I just started working on my Long Fangs may have to borrow a few things from ya. Vrox.
