hendrik
Huron woke up screaming out loud, his worn out axe tightly gripped in his right hand. He had dreamed again about that terrible day many months ago. It all happened on the cursed planet called Korr. Huron was a long fang! a grizzled war veteran of a hundred years! where he once had 14 battle brothers he now only had 5, as a result of all those years of ongoing warfare. This was the fate of a space wolf and so knew Huron. Losing members of the pack was always a inevitable fate and one that could touch even the most hardened soul, and so did it touch Hurons soul! it was during the 3rd day that the imperial lines started to crumble. Where they previously had withdrawn to wards the hive in decent order, the imperial guard regiments were now on an all out rout. They were outnumbered many times and already the orks were breaking through. With the imperial guards on the rout, the wolves knew it would be only a matter of time before the hive would fall. For 2 days they had hold off the ork invasion but on the 3rd it seemed as if the allfather had forsaken them. Nearly a third of the imperial forces were dead or gone missing, their supply lines had been overrun by speedfreaks and the air was filled with ork jets. it was on that day it all happened. Huron and his pack of longs fangs were deployed above the main gate, together with one of Bran Redmaws' wolf guard for he expected the fighting to be fierce here and so it was. At dawn the orks began their unending bombardment while they advanced upon the gate. Where once Huron would have openly faced the enemy to shout and growl at them, he now hid in cover, his recklessness overcame by years of experience. Everything went fine until on the horizon suddenly a stompa arose. With 1 shot he made the main gatehouse collapse, the long fangs and wolf guard still inside and on top it. Taking advantage of these few seconds the orks who had been hold off for about 500 meter , started their attack, with in it's wake the stompa.Huron and his pack just climbed out of the rumble in time, one of brans' wolf guards wasn't so lucky. sitting trapped beneath a huge pile of rubble he tried to hold off the orks as long as he could, only to be beheaded by GRAZGRA! the ork warlord. finally he had decided to show himself tot the wolves. Huron fought bravely and fierce, just like his brothers did, however the sheer amount of orks were just too many. Where they ones could move freely in their armour they now were trapped by the bodies of dead orks. One by one Huron saw his brothers fell, each time the orks defacing their foe! By the sight of this Huron couldn't hold himself together anymore! a rage unknown to him overtook him, his head burning in pain!He cutted and stabbed as fast as he could, slaying all before him. Al until huron suddenly fell a shrieking pain. when he looked down he saw a cruel ork blade sticking out of his breastplate. It had pierced his secondary heart and he was losing blood quickly. When he turned to face his attacker he looked grazgra right in the eye. The ork warlord was overconfident by he sight of the heavily bleeding long fang and he lashed out with his axe, intending to cut Huron in half. whether it was by good luck or by experience, Huron stepped back, allowing the ork to strike the ground. As soon as the heavy axe passed him huron brought up his left arm with all the force he had left and pushed it right through the ork warlords' skull. More Huron couldn't remember. he had passed into the red dreams as a result of his wounds mere seconds before imperial reinforcement came to drive the orks back . when he awoke he found the warlords axe lying at his feet. Bran had let it place there as a personal totem for him.At the sight of this axe his memory came back, he saw every brother he once had had. Overcome by grief he took the axe,and started carving their names in his flesh, while swearing the oath of vengeance. Nevermore would he feast with the wolves, nevermore the cleansing purity of the open sky. He had chosen for the path of the lone wanderer, to be a lone wolf. From that moment on he would be constantly preparing to meet his doom, to seek out the mightiest of opponent and slay it, or die trying and thus rewinning it's pack honour! When bran heard of this he was enraged. He had hoped to include huron as one of his wolf guard but with him wandering the path of the lone wolf this option was now excluded, for even a wolf lord couldn't deny a warrior the path of the lone wolf. Yet, to give Huron a sign of compasion and brotherhood, bran gave him the tactical dreadnought armour that had once belonged to the wolf guard who died there. Sillently Huron knotted when bran spoke to him, his eyes still filled with thears about his lost brothers, his heart beating with vengeance! this would be his fate! to stalk the stars in search for a foe mightier than him and to slay it, or die trying! what do you guys think?
