Frontline989
Space Wolves have the option for a heavy flamer for their razorbacks but the model doesnt come with one to my knowledge. Where would I get one? Thank you. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185919-razorback-heavy-flamer/ Share on other sites
Hjaertrr
Could work using terminator heavy flamers, requires a fair bit of effort i'd imagine. Or, this might work: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...dId=prod1090139 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/185919-razorback-heavy-flamer/#findComment-2198566 Share on other sites
Niiai
I am just wondering, where do you measure the flame from? As far as I can se moast of the template would cover your own tanks and not the enemy. Hjaertrr
I remember something about weapons being measured from the hull, but LOS from the weapon, or something like that. I could of course completely imagined that rule, havn't got my book here to check. WG Vrox
Most people are of the opinion that a weapon would be designed not to harm the vehicle wielding it. So even if the template covers the RB firing it, you should not have to roll for AP. If someone asks you to make that roll per RAW, I would ask them to shove their dice ....................... Yep, you can easily covert the Heavy Bolters to twin Heavy Flamers using the tips of a normal flamer, but you don't get very good range due to the template starting so far back on top of the RB that you loose the effectiveness of the weapon. So to do it right it's almost a totally custom job and you have to play with the length of the weapon to find the sweet spot of having the weapon long enough to do any good when shooting it, but short enough to be able to hit any models that maybe right next to the RB. I found if you make the weapon long enough to just peek over the side of the RB when the turret is turned 90 degrees to the side it's about as good as it gets. Then when you do go to fire the weapon you can pull up with the side of the RB toward the enemy and get the full measure of the template over the bad guys. Vrox. Niiai
Yes. Having a round fire radius on the front of the wehicel so that it could turn 180 degres and poke out of the hull at the 3 90 degres would seem optimal.
