Prophecy
That's actually a very good point, and I may have been a bit hasty. You are correct that they are bought as part of a unit rather than as wargear, so I think you are right and they would stay. Albeit, with lower leadership and minus a few thunderhammer attacks. Either way, even with I5 (saga), I'd allocate the wounds to the wolves first. Since the IP isn't an IC, he can't be targeted individually in CC. Wow, that was a lot of acronyms. WG Vrox
I never thought of it as dieciving but when you put it like that it seemed a bit weard (and the IP do not seem so cool anymore.) What do you guys think? For me it comes down to RAI and RAW, I believe that the intent was that they do not disappear but rather fight on like the servitors, however following RAW they do disappear. We can only hope for a FAQ that clarifies this unit. Niiai
Do they disapear acording to RAW? (What does RAW stand for anyway.) For me it seems a bit vague seing that wolves are both wargear and an induvidual unit/model. The fenrisian wolves unit do not die as soon as one of them dies. I amsumed they where regular troops since the servitors are so. It should be FAQ'ed like MOAST things in ouer book. It does not state when you buy them if they are wargear or not. They are also worded the same way as ragnar (who we can asume have wargear wolves) while the wolf lord and the wold guard battle leaders are worded diferently. That was made my main asumtion that they where in fact not wargear. I will at least play with them as non-wargear so long. Prophecy
"Read As Written" as opposed to "Read As Intended" And now, RAW, I changed my mind and truly believe they do not. Read the vignette: Wolves bought as wargear disappear. These guys are no different than a unit of Fen Wolves that lost their Cy-wolf "Sergeant." earthen
its a good unit. just dont have any delusions of grandeur. Used correctly, it can really mess with people's day, but theres no invuln but 6 wounds. Solid overall.
