Haakon Ironheart
My newest creation is this squad of Wolf Scouts. I don't like the GW scout models so I decided to honour these veteran wolf brothers with heavily modified power armour without many of the normal parts in order to better fulfill their "behind the enemy lines" role. I used normal SW parts and some parts from Chaos marauder cavalry. I hope you like them as much as I do. Comments and advice are as always welcome http://coolminiornot.com/pics/pics14/img4b19715d82416.jpg http://coolminiornot.com/pics/pics14/img4b1975c0ae3da.jpg Uthred 13th Co. Night Runner
I probably like them more. They look like they really mean business. The painting is well done and I think the spears and the bare arms are a nice touch. Purely in the spirit of constructive criticism, I think the bases are a bit too 'bright green' for the theme of your scouts, but it does not take away anything from the work you put into these models. I hope my scouts come out half as menacing as yours. Congrats - you certainly deserve it. :ermm: Edit: If there is one thing I like about the 13th is the lack of yellow in the painting scheme, and your Uthred is just as good as your scouts. Kjarl Sternmaw-Wolf Guard
Absolutely Fantastic. Very very nice. I may have to try this with my scouts as I don't think the GW are SWolfy enough with the new bits. Nice job, would love to see more. Very inspiring. rodgambit
Great models man. I actually started up a 13th CO. two years ago and then had stopped playing. I just recently started up again and have been play testing some different models and builds. I love what you did with the scouts, i'm going to have to borrow that idea. They really do look awesome. old git
Consider that idea well and truly stolen. Nice work. I run a 13th company force as well and the scouts always bothered me. They don't look right. Your interpretation makes them look mean and grizzled, just as they should be. You can see more of them in the gallery on this same forum. I think you would like Canis on a white wolf...and some converted TC Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186479-13th-company-scouts-and-uthred-ready-for-battle/#findComment-2206251 Share on other sites

Haakon Ironheart
Consider that idea well and truly stolen. Nice work. I run a 13th company force as well and the scouts always bothered me. They don't look right. Your interpretation makes them look mean and grizzled, just as they should be. I would really like to see how you implement my idea. In my opinion GW scouts must be resculpted. This kind of armour is better suited for Storm troopers (I have already converted around 20 SM scouts to stormtroopers and they really look good). In addition the SW scouts are fully grown veteran Marines. There is no way they would fit in the same armour the other Chapters use for recruits, who are still developing and adaptin to the changes to their bodies. Chodjinn
what did you use as the shoulder pads on the Arjac model? Looks great! Haakon Ironheart
what did you use as the shoulder pads on the Arjac model? Looks great! Dreadnought leg pads... Found plenty in my DA bitz box :). Trophies of war...I used them as pre-heresy stuff, as 13th Company is quite preheresy army...Most probably the only loyalist one still in action ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186479-13th-company-scouts-and-uthred-ready-for-battle/#findComment-2207923 Share on other sites
Magnus Darkblood
Amazing work on the conversions. I had been planning to do some much tougher and more feral looking scouts than the GW boxed set ones and yours are giving me some great models to use as examples. Keep up the great work.
