Magnetized Space Marine Sergeant

Hi guys

I recently partook a crazy project in which I will be magnetizing a 10 man tactical squad to have CCW and BP, Bolters, Devastator Weapons, Command Squad Gear and other such things.

Here is Sergeant Armin, Leader of the Immortals (an Elite SM squad based on the Persian Immortal Warriors)

He is armed with a plasma pistol and a Damascus Blade.

Don't worry, Feytor is just an exceptional dick who doesn't believe in constructive criticism. I suggest if you're using GW paints to pick up some of the Foundation colors and apply them in super thin coats (you can probably increase your water-paint ratio to 2:1 with these because they're so heavily pigmented). Once you've got a good foundation of color laid down, you can start detailing and highlighting with the regular paints. Don't change whatever you did for the sword though - it looks really great! The cybernetic arm is quite nice as well.

The OP posted with the intent on getting opinions, good or bad. Feytor provided his opinion without anyway of offering any offence. If someone posts openly on an internet forum, and C+C is asked for, you are going to get it. I find people are way too touchy feely here when pure crap is posted in various posts and threads. As long as you are respectful, speak your mind.

Calling someone out as a Dick I find is what is in poor taste. Id like to see you do it in person.

Yeah I did not take too much offense once he explained but I can't use red foundation paints as it messes up my red recipes. I use foundations for the purity seals (khemri) and the light grey one for the helmets :D

and at Marek What pure crap? O.o was it my stuff I'm confused.

I like it.

Good model, well painted in my opinion; sure it's not GD standard, but not that many peoples models are.

unfortunately daemons and magnets don't mix that well :P

Malanok

P.S Feytor & Marek Grimfang , if someone does posts "pure crap" then I don't say anything ("If you don't have anything nice to say...")

Well I apologize for my less-than-friendly vocabulary earlier, but I take back nothing. The whole idea of a forum is to get like-minded people together so they can help each other out, and 'C&C' does not equal 'being a total jerk-tube to people'. All I'm trying to say is that people should be more constructive instead of branding it 'total crap'.

ha ha ha, owned

i think its great i would never dream of attempting such a task, i can only see it going wrong for me.

you have pulled this off very well and although i agree the painting needs a little work that comes with practise and a few tips lying around this site :)

despite a little argument id look at the funny side of it. im gonna settle with your model is looking just fine, keep up the good work :)
