Neth_Dha_Phaos
Greetings Brothers, It has been some time since I have posted here, mainly because I haven't been working on my army. But with this new codex and models, its time to get back into the game. I am a very slow painter so it may take some time before I get even close to finishing. I have so many models that need to be assembled and painted I may go crazy by the end of the project. These few models are what I have to show for about two months worth time. Well actually the Drop Pod was done over the summer, haha. http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac10/DosRory/IMG_0599.jpg http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac10/DosRory/IMG_0598.jpg Currently working on my Nyjal and more Terminators. I have a couple of Scouts and Wolf Guard also on the assembly line. More to come, till then, -Neth Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186663-my-space-wolves/ Share on other sites

Neth_Dha_Phaos
Thanks guys, I wasn't a big fan of the Space Wolf Grey so went with a different colour scheme, ended up with that. Have a small update; my camo scheme for my army, its going to be a desert camo despite the fact that snow is the favourable terrain. Heres the test scheme which I will be using. Regular vs Camo http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac10/DosRory/IMG_0637.jpg Different Side http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac10/DosRory/IMG_0639.jpg More to slowly come, till then, -Neth Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186663-my-space-wolves/#findComment-2216830 Share on other sites
Vash113
Your painting is very good but I have to say I don't like the scheme. You're regular scheme makes them look like bearded Ultramarines and I'm never really a fan of Camoflauge on anything but Space Marine Scouts. But maybe that's just me. Night Runner
Personally I don't mind camo schemes on marines, even though I prefer them on scouts. Anyways, If I was you I still would add darker and light patches of colour to break up the outline. You can find some good desert camo patterns on the net. I would also paint up the right grey shoulder pad as it defeats the purpose of camo. On the left shoulder pad with the Chapter emblem I would remove the grey up to the black circle. But that's just my opinion. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186663-my-space-wolves/#findComment-2216920 Share on other sites
Ravenger
needs some black ink and some matt varnish to darken/dirty them up Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186663-my-space-wolves/#findComment-2216946 Share on other sites
Heimdal
Very nicely painted. However, I`m very conservative when it comes to chapter colors. They use wolf icons, they use space wolf rules but they are no Space Wolves. InFlames
They are no Space Wolves. They are The Frost Wolf Clan. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186663-my-space-wolves/#findComment-2218825 Share on other sites
Stormshrug
Eh, I'm not sure I agree with all the "These are no Space Wolves, boy, no Space Wolves!" logic running around in this thread. Space Wolves by nature are extremely individualistic and anti-authoritarian - and this applies even to their own 'orthodoxy,' as much as they seem to have it. These guys are well within what I would personally consider the 'acceptable deviation from standards' to be for Space Wolves. And, on an unrelated note, they're excellently painted. The only real question I have: is the camo for desert use? I've always kind of interpreted SW as already being in camo, albeit camouflage designed for icy terrain, like that around the Fang.
