MadCowCrazy
I just bought Army Builder 3.2 and have been playing around with allies to the WH and DH armies. When choosing IG as allies you can chose the Medusa artillery tank at the very bottom for 135 points, a 0-1 choise. However it does not list it as any type of unit eventhough its obviously a Heavy Support. If you change to Space Marines as allies you find the Medusa at the bottom as well, (but only if u chose IG as allies first then change) if you chose no allies the Medusa is found at the bottom of your regular list now. This is obviously a bug but my main question still remains, can a WH army take a IG Medusa artillery piece? Ive never seen it mentioned in any ally rules Ive read and it seems to be an Imperial Armor vehicle rather than a normal codex one. So whats the deal here? It seems like a pretty :cussty vehicle compared to the Exorcist for the same cost. My guess is that its just a bug in the program and that WH can not take the Medusa, maby they once could but not anymore, I dont know, but maby someone could shed some light on this? Ive only started with 5th Edition so I dont know what the rules were back in 1-4 regarding the Medusa. killersquid
Army builder is wrong. You cannot take a Medusa in Deamon/Witch hunters armies. It's not one of the listed types of units you can take as listed in the respective codex's. Inquisitor Fox
If I am remembering correctly, I believe in IA1 or IA2 they have a modified list of the various 0-1 Heavy Support tanks that you can induct into an Inquisition army after getting your two platoons of guardsmen. It's possible a Medusa is on that list. I seem to recall Grand Master Tyrak mentioning something like that on a different thread :D If that Is the case, then you can only do so with the opponent agreeing to IA rules. Otherwise, there is no way in the standard Codices to get a Medusa outside of Apocalypse. I don't think the Medusa is on the list though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186783-ig-medusa-in-wh-army/#findComment-2209037 Share on other sites
number6
I would suggest ditching Army Builder -- which as always been inaccurate and bug-ridden -- and rely on paper, pencil, and calculator. Make enough army lists, and it goes just as quickly, I can assure you. And your output looks better too. I can't stand the :tu: that AB spits out. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186783-ig-medusa-in-wh-army/#findComment-2209102 Share on other sites
