Girlfriend wants to get me some Warhammer goodness

So I'm building up a mechanized Great Company and so far I have 3 full GH packs, 10 WG (5 in PA, 5 in TDA), a Rune Priest, Wolf Lord, 5 scouts, 2 Dreadnoughts, and a Land Raider Crusader. Not everything is fully assembled, modeled, or painted yet but I'm still looking to expand upon my force anyhow.

Here's what I need to complete my company: 2 Vindicators, 3 more GH packs, 6 rhinos, a Whirlwind, and 2 Land Speeders. And maybe a Drop Pod or two for my Dreadnoughts. I'm thinking a Rhino would be the best thing to get next so I can use the chassis to help scratch build the 8 other Rhino chassis I will need, which can also double for my Whirlwind (I have a FW Helios Launcher) till I buy/build the remaining chassis.

Is my logic sound or would something else like a Land Speeder be more beneficial for low point games that I can play?

Thanks for the input. Its been a long time since I put together an army and with all the edition changes, I have to learn to ride a bike again. ;)

It depends on how much she is willing to spend on you.

But I would give her a list containing, a vindicator, whirlwind, or a rhino. That way you can act surprised on what she got you.

Either one of those 3 gives you all the parts for a rhino, and you will be able use either kit so you can try and scratch build all of your rhino based vehicles.

Of course, if she is willing to buy you all 3 thats a big bonus for you.

Well girls like to feel special. So have her get you something that you will only have one of in your army. And make it a powerful unit. So you can tell her how helpful it was in whatever battles you fought. Even if you have to indulge a bit. Then again, what man knows what truly pleases women. But that's my running theory at the moment. My ideas of that special little something would be: Njal, Ragnar, or TWC maybe?

I think my wife picked me up a Space Wolves battleforce. She will not tell me, but the box it about the right size. Though it could be another army...

My guess would be a Canis Model. My wife liked the wolf theme and thought that was one of the best looking models made. However, she should have been a vet, we have like 4 huge fish tanks and a bunch of cats and dogs, so the animal theme appealed to her. Every girl wants to be a vet when they grow up, (well most of them).

She likes the fantasy models a lot more because of the horses too, so if you girl is anything like mine, go for something like that. I am converting Thunderwolf models now, and she says they are some of my best conversions.

Haha Thanks for the suggestions guys. Unfortunately her favorite color fluctuates between pink and purple, not exactly conducive to a wolfy theme, but I like where you're thinking.

I was thinking about the Vindicator too because it can operate fairly well on its own, especially in small point games. I think I'll take chenley's idea and give her 2 options (Razorback and Vindicator) and let her choose, this way no matter which she chooses I'll be satisfied. Of course if she got me both then I'd be very satisfied!

To add a bit of an anecdote to the "make her feel special", I was writing up an army list to use against my buddy from home (heading up for Christmas), and I asked: "Hey baby, I have a question, should I go mech or use drop pods?" To which she responded, quite excitedly: "The Drop Pods! Because I bought them for you!"
