Godhead
as the title. Looking to read up on them and how exactly they interact with the space wolves. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186865-house-belisarius-info/ Share on other sites
Jonny Wolf
the novel Wolf Blade is a great place to start. But I'm no Rune Priest. Brother Maverick or Dark Bjoern may know. Brother Remus
Basically, due to an old pact created in the time of the Russ, 12 (I think its 12 anyway) Space Wolves, choosen because of special circumstances are assigned to act as bodyguards for the head of the Belisarius house hold. And in return the house gives 12 of their best Navigators to the Space Wolves, to help with warp travel and the such. Geirulfr Frostmoon
Just started delving into the novels myself. But what I can recall from the top of my head is that: -The pact between House Belisarius and the Space Wolves go all the way back to the founding of the Imperium. -House Belisarius provides the Space Wolves with navigators for their fleet and in return the Space Wolves provide the House with bodyguards called the Wolfblade. -Aside from safeguarding members of House Belisarius, the Wolfblade are also called upon to complete different duties like training and leading the Houses' guards. -Another interesting fact is that the symbol of House Belisarius is that of a wolf which might be due to the pact made between them and the Space wolves. For now that's all I remember from it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186865-house-belisarius-info/#findComment-2210279 Share on other sites
Hfran Morkai
The Wolves provide 24 Wolves as bodyguards/instructors to the Navigator house and in return receive 24 of their Navigators, this is so that they have more than enough so some may rest. It is unclear as to whether all Wolfblades are exiled to serve House Belisarius until they are deemed as to having regained their honour. The house itself is one of the major Navigator houses and runs installations on several planets, such as mining on Hades. But as has been suggested Wolfblade offers a nice insight into the house. Emperor's Scourge
My unsolicited opinion is that you should avoid the novels featuring Ragnar as a Wolfblade at all cost. They're embarassingly bad. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186865-house-belisarius-info/#findComment-2210288 Share on other sites

But are the only thing that mentions House Belisarius AFAIK, which is what the OP wants. Jonny Wolf
I didn't think Bill King's Wolf Blade novel was bad...but to be honest...we're not dealing with likes of Dickens, King or Stoker for author's here. They're (the authors) are fans like us...so with all things considered, not bad. Sorry, didn't mean to thread-jack. Carry on. Brother Remus
The ones done by King are good IMO, but Lighter's is more of a power trip really. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/186865-house-belisarius-info/#findComment-2210294 Share on other sites
Wispy
Lee Lightener Ragnar-as-a-Wolfblade books are embarrassingly bad, maybe. King's is pretty decent. Balroth
I thought they were all pretty good, with King's more so.
